We had no idea about the importance of Solitary bees! We're gonna feature your video link and write an article about it in our newsletter in an upcoming issue. Thank you for explaining all that!
No mention here about the ~400% Increase in Photosynthetic Efficiency we see in plants growing in Healthy Fungally dominant soil. That results in several TONS PER ACRE of additional root exudate sugars (the plant doesn't get 400% bigger from 4X' More Sugar Production...it FEEDS the Soil. Focusing on PHOTOSYNTHESIS Efficiency is the best way to sequester STABLE CARBON. Compost is good....but most of that Carbon gets cycled (oxidized in a few years). We are seeing UP TO 3.5 Times more forage biomass and better nutrition in those plants free from pests and diseases. Fungi EXTRACT all the energy in the exudate sugars in cascading energy extraction cycles....leaving Humates (Etc) in the soil that is stable for millennia (there are mines millions of years old full of these stable compounds). THIS IS LIKE... Growing 3 extra farms out of 1 farm (in terms of heef/fowl/and pork production. There is almost NO LIMIT to how much carbon can be srquestered. At the Extreme....900 tons (equiv) of CO2 is no record. 100 Tons is pretty common. Gabe Brown has fields with 90 Tons after ~15 years of "fits & starts" of Soil Regeneration.
Tillage and poor soil protection PRIOR TO 1950.... LIBERATED FAR MORE OXIDIZED CARBON into the Atmosphere than all of our Fossil Fuel Emissions....NOT 1/3 of it. Great Plains Topsoil with over 10% Carbon Was 5 to 10 FEET (not inches) DEEP...and annual biomass was 10 times higher. That's almost all gone. Do the math. The CURRENT TEMPEATURE Rise started AT LEAST 150 Years Ago...not in 1950. Tidal Guage Data 150 years old (England) shows A STEADY LINEAR TREND in temperature increases. NOTHING ELSE could have caused that Sea Level Trend. That TREND....HAS NOT ACCELERATED. The low frequency dusturbance AMPLITUDE in the trend has not been exceeded....Even during the last NORTH ATLANTIC MULTIDECADAL OPTIMUM (which has NOTHING TO DO with CO2 LEVELS).
