Nowadays dim sum are way too expensive. It's beyond affordable, you will have to spend a small fortune to have dim sum. Even a single person have to fork out RM50 to RM60++ for a decent dim sum meal. Imagine how much a family need to spend ? In general price for a plate (or basket) of dim sum is between RM7.00 to RM10.00. Then a pot of Chinese tea will cost RM5.00 to RM7.00. Foo Hing is the most expensive and there is a time limit of 40 minutes for you to finish your meal, next is Hoong Foong and JIn Xuan. For RM40+, I can feast on steam big head carp (松魚頭). So which is better, steam fish or dim sum ?

Oh no.. Leung kee lady boss who do cutting the meat.. Once I tapau steam chic wtm, she was behind the fridge mopping wet floor, the mop handle was black brown ugly.. She saw me standing at her usual station.. Placed back the mop behind fridge, came over took my usual order of wet chicken, hold the pieces cut on her bare hands (palm) put on styrofoam pass to husband behind for the wtm.. I was stunned... Took back the tapau.. Boil the chicken agsin in hot water.. Then ate it.. Then I don't go Leung kee anymore.. That's 4 years ago
Time n time agsin on diff occasion last 3 years patronising Foo hing taipan.. Why I am totally unhappy with the taste n quality of it's dim sum.. On 2 occasions the Chinese guy waiter just too rude, and another time Chinese girl cashier too.. Both are local Malaysian... Such horrible taste..4 times only in 3 years... No more. Bye 2
Actually the under bridge bak kut teh opposite is the most older bak kut teh in klang(only local ppl knew it)...and it's most delicious one
The food in Taipan area deteriorated badly Foo Hin dim sum no longer nice- Its tasteless & definitely overrated Hokkien Fried Mee - Too salty & no nice aroma

their chicken is smooth and fresh just the chilli sauce the ginger sauce is not for me and they are not expensive compared to Loke yun chicken rice

Do they also serve roast chicken ? And how different is their chicken rice from Singapore's version?
They don’t serve roast chicken here, just steamed. If we were to compare it to Tian Tian Chicken rice in Singapore, we’d say the chicken here is even more tender and flavorful, but Singapore’s version has the edge when it comes to the rice-it’s more fragrant and rich. Thank you for watching

Tian Tian is prominently featured to tourists because they have local government ties, but they are extremely overrated & far from Singapore's best tasting chicken rice. They certainly do not represent Singapore chicken rice whatsoever.

@@pristinediscovery 2 of the best Singapore Chicken Rice places of mine are namely Lee Kwang Kee Chicken Rice and Hua Zai Chicken Rice (not the current Hua Zai chicken rice you see in Singapore now). Lee Kwang Kee operated in Sun Plaza, while Hua Zai operated in Food Junction in Nanyang Polytechnic. Lee Kwang Kee's roast chicken plus their Muar type roasted otah wrapped in banana leaf was out of this world, while Hua Zai's chicken rice, together with their oyster sauce vegetables and peanut soup were a delight in heaven.The current Hua Zai can't hold a candle to them. Sadly both of these places are no longer in operation, I can only reminisce their flavors in my mind.

What do they use the garlic and ginger juice for after blending and filtering? Does it go into the pot where they boil the chicken then into the rice? Because I do not see any garlic and ginger going into the rice and the rice has to have some form of garlic and ginger in them.

ฉันมีความรู้สึกว่าร้าน Hainanese Chicken Rice Shop น่ากินมาก มีความพิถีพิถันในการต้มไก่ หนังไก่ตึง สวย หนังไก่ไม่แตก สุดยอด เขาใช้ขิงจำนวนมาก กระเทียมก็มากมาย ตอนที่เขาคั้นขิง กับกระเทียม ฉันไม่เห็นว่า เขาเอาน้ำขิงกระเทียมไปปรุงอาหารตอนไหน นี่คงเป็นสูตรลับของทางร้าน แล้วขิงกับกระเทียมที่เหลือจากการคั้นน้ำ แล้ว เอาไปเจียว มาราดบนไก่สับ บนถั่วงอกลวก ราดแบบไม่หวงกระเทียม ซึ่งทำให้ดูดี น่ากินสุดๆ สำหรับคนที่ชอบกระเทียมเจียวอย่างฉัน

My best guess is that the ginger and garlic juices were used in the pot to boil the chicken, then that broth is used to cook the rice. We do not see them using any garlic or ginger for the rice, and we know the rice must have garlic and ginger in it!
