I played DMC 5 with the Japanese audio when I first played it cause I speak it, but I had to turn the JP subtitles off because in the JP version, for some stupid reason they decided they were going to make the subtitles different to what they were actually saying. I googled it in Japanese and it turns out, they did it because the dub was done later and the dub lines were different because the subtitles are the accurate EN-JP translation, and for the voice lines, they needed to match the mouth movements of the English cutscenes so they changed them. What I don't understand is, why didn't they just use that dialogue for the subtitles then? It was so annoying so I had to turn the subtitles off lol. It makes me wonder what the hell the older games would be like if they dubbed them in Japanese. But to be fair, there are some legends in the JP cast. Dante's VA is also Leon from Resident Evil and Shinada from Yakuza 5. Morrison is voiced by Ootsuka Akio, and for those of you who know him, you'll know that mf is in fricking everything lol.
