What you have there is a 'compound-slide-miter-saw' - not a skil saw. To cut vinyl siding, without shattering: Put a spacer (about 3 inches wide) along the back fence of the 'chop saw' - must be 'slide'. Place stock to be cut on the table. Lower the blade through the spacer - not touching the stock. Slowly, with lowered blade, pull the saw TOWARD YOU. Done! The method is called "climb cutting".

So much better than a grinder or hand shears, ugh. The dust you inhale on a grinder and you have to clamp it down too. The hand shears ruin the most expensive tools you have, your hands! The nibbler or single or double shears are the way to go. I like the dust bag attached to this tool, collecting the pokey clippings, very nice touch! Thank you!!!

How long does an appraisal take? I have a roof claim that is currently in appraisal. My appraiser and the insurance appraiser came out a little more than 2 months ago. I contacted my appraiser a couple of weeks ago and he said we're still waiting on the umpire to schedule his inspection. Is it normal taking this long?

I have Timberline HD on my house but a hail storm hit and i'm having it replaced with the HDZ. The reason I am going back with Gaf is because my neighbors have had a GAF roof for over 16 years and it still looks like it was just installed. Mine was only on 4 years till the hail storm and the hail only did minimal damage and hardly any loss of granules. Sounds like the HDZ will be as good or better. Thanks for the video!
