Genesis: 14. Melchizedek SD 480p
We now return to the mysterious King of Salem, Melchizedek, who blessed Abram and “brought out bread and wine (Genesis 14:18 RSVCE).” He is identified as “the priest [כֹּהֵן kohen] of God Most High (Genesis 14:18 RSVCE).” This is the first time out of 750 that the Bible explicitly uses the term kohen to call someone a priest. Abram responds by giving “a tenth of everything”. (Genesis 14:20 RSVCE) In interpreting this encounter, Hebrews states, “It is beyond dispute that the inferior is blessed by the superior (Hebrews 7:7 RSVCE).” Afterwards, it is explained that the priesthood of Jesus Christ is “according to the order of Melchizedek” and not “according to the order of Aaron (Hebrews 7:11 RSVCE)” for Christ’s priesthood is “not according to the legal requirement concerning bodily descent but by the power of an indestructible life (Hebrews 7:16 RSVCE).”

The damage chinese communists have done to chinese traditions and faith is immesurable. Imagine if here in the west Pope Francis would have to live in exile because a regime in Italy is persecuting the catholics. What they have done it's just horrendous.

Atheism does not require materialism. Strawman detected.
Good point and an omission on my part. Thank you for pointing it out. Materialism necessarily denies a spiritual God, but atheism maintains that no God Gods exist but, unless denied, still logically can remain at least open to a dimension that is not material. Often, though, atheism does coincide with materialism.
PETER KUCER I agree that some atheists are materialists. However, there is nothing about atheism that requires one to deny the existence of immaterial things other than gods. It is entirely possible for an atheist to believe in souls, ghosts, pixies, Platonic forms, and the like, as long as none of those are gods.
Which I acknowledge, by implication, in my previous comment on logic. Thanks again for the refinement of thought.
