Heavy delays on Sandalwood and Kennedy meant I couldn’t get a 7A or a 3A external in time, will definitely get them soon, but this actually makes me question the reasoning behind the existence of this terminal, it made much more sense in a 2005 standpoint, but as of 2024, it doesn’t make sense schedule wise, or even connection wise imo

@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel Oh whoops i thought i told you, so basically www.naturalreaders.com/online/ go here, and click the face at the bottom of the screen and scroll down to laura, most of the externals don’t sound necessarily real, but I’ve tried the 505, 104, 14A, and 18 sb, and those ones sound pretty close

Also weird thing I noticed is how the 14 says “Toor-bram” properly whereas the 14A completly screws it up and says “Tore-brum” lol

@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel usually their september service improvements are their biggest of the year, and I know a big part of that is grid-ifying most of their existing network, for that to happen, technically the 14/14A would need to be extended to mayfield

@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel the regular 505 as well! The 561 at Mp GO, 501 at Queen/Airport, 502 at Bovaird/Main, future 504 at Bovaird/Chinguacousy, 511+ at Airport/Steeles!

Time to do 2 shifts. Means that one day I will to Downtown and another day to MPGO on the same week. I plan to go to MPGO, Downtown, Humber College, Sandalwood Loop, Trinity Common Terminal, Gore Meadows CC and Hurontario and Courtneypark
@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel good luck! The biggest thing is timing the downtown routes correctly, eg. the 52 has a crippling frequency of 45/50 mins all day/evening, the 25 and 561 are rush only… and routes like the 1/1A, 2, 24 have pretty trash frequencies
Mount Pleasant as well, the 55 runs every 55 mins, the 9 has an irregular schedule but it says every 30 mins, the 28 is rush only… and lets not get started about mount pleasant village (the north side)
I'm going for rush hour since it anways takes 1 hour to get to Downtown. If I leave at 3pm then I'd come back at 7 or 8pm lol
I gotta mabye go to Queen and 50 for 41 Bolton (wth is that bus's schedule its rush and every 2 hours like is the fleet too small or smth)

I got it on 0926, I just saw 0614 doing the 4 that day and since it’s a clark bus i got it’s pic instead
Speaking of 09s some of the louder externals are 09s, 0920 was the 7, 0922 was the original 27 one, 0923 was the 26 nb, 0924 was both the new 27s, and 0926 was the 4A sb

The old 4/4A external is better cuz I hate the delay between 4 and Chinguacousy and it repeating route 4

plus whats the point in repeating route 4 when it can just say Route 4 Chinguacousy to make more sense
It’s the only one that does it too, it’s so funny, and the 18 NB announcement was made in august of last year
yea! Just found out it was extended to Mayfield on March Break since in 2023 July - August I took 18 for the first time and it used to go to Inspire Blvd ( have an external of it but u gotta scroll alot so imma reupload it in shorts)
Be honest: Do you think a 511D is needed? Cuz 511 EB/WB at Bramalea GO station is SUPER Crowded. 511D can run between Bramalea GO and Humber College. Also why is there no 511B? Its 511A and skips to 511C?
I actually think the 511D would be best suited to serve Lisgar - Bramalea GO because west of gateway terminal, the frequency goes down hill really quick on Steeles West, for East of Gateway, I feel the main thing they need to do is increase service on all the branches tbh. As for the 511B, I’ve always wondered the same thing
Well Ur idea is also reasonable too for 511D. But 511B is a mystery

Last 4 externals i need from there: 561 WB and 1 eb or wb and 1A to Coventry rd
@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel LOL I’ve given up on getting the 1/1A, there’s so many variations of their announcements… theres one for the trips that end at bramalea terminal eb/wb, the ones that end at downtown terminal eb/wb (1/1a), plus the via flower city cc announcements eb and wb

Once had a night time dream of getting the 1 EB external lol. Also in my dream my suspected place where the LFS externals come from is true comes from the bottom right beside the front door. (gotta crouch for that)
I think you’re probably right with the externals coming from the bottom, and for the 1, I’m sure you’ll get it! Service was increased during Saturdays and Sundays so it’s now a bit easier!
Hopefully i will get it! I also do aim for 1 E/WB and 1A E/WB and 561 WB to complete brampton
I assume 501A is off peak route and 501C is a peak route
Both are discontinued now, but the 501A used to be the main branch, operating every 5 minutes or less to york u, the 501C was to supplement, with 10 minute service from the bramalea terminal to york u, and the 501, originally servicing york u, and later only vmc, was to supplement Viva Orange operated every 15 minutes or less. Both the 501A and 501 operated every day, until covid caused the 501A to get cancelled and never return till service
501A is reliable service plus nobody cares if its too crowded like 511. Also a 511D is needed to provide service from Bramalea GO to Humber College cuz Bramalea GO is too Crowded for 511
Yeah, I believe though that what Steeles needs are HOV or bus lanes, because currently in the midst of rush hour, the 511 takes about 90-110 minutes to complete from end to end on a good day. Outside of that, it’s an average of 65-80 mins. the current frequency basically all day is 7.5 mins, that split amongst all the branches causes for a BUCKETLOAD of buses wasted due to being stuck in traffic, so i’d love to see bus lanes between Chinguacousy Rd and at Least Finch
The 501 is also a lot less reliable than the 511 tbh, because the traffic on Hwy 7 without the rapidway is dreadful. Right now even theres like 5 buses at VMC seeing delays of up to 45 mins and rush hour just started lol, not to mention the short turning and missing buses
The 501 also sees upwards of 30,000 ppl daily
Also Looking, I do see that 23 sandalwood can have an express route as it has connections to many crowded routes/popular routes. Also do see that a route/express route can be added for Mayfield Rd as it does connect major roads (Hurontario, Chinguacousy/Mavis etc.)
@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel the main problem with mayfield is most of mayfield is has no sidewalk, is one lane and is still, for the most part rural, besides steeles avenue though, Mayfield is definitely the second longest road here, buses would be so delayed due to traffic, collisions, etc.
As for sandalwood, it’s in brampton’s plan for 2040, to add a Züm route along Sandalwood, because that corridor is also becoming super busy daily, in both directions, the main problem with sandalwood is the length and the windyness of the route, because from Mount Pleasant to Highway 50/Queen St, can take upwards of 90-110 minutes, due to the ebuses, heavy traffic on sandalwood, the trinity common access roads, bovaird, heart lake, castlemore, cottrelle, and hwy 50, as well as the amount of passengers the route can see on any given day. The route is another route that needs to see some frequency increases before an express/züm route… currently it’s 15 peak, 30/34 off-peak and evenings, and 28/30 on weekends
True! Eh, Züm route on sandalwood is better than a express route. Also if 115 185 and 199 are the only express routes, then just make them Züm routes as 104 soon gonna become 504 and that will be 6 Züm routes and 3 express routes

whats the point of 561? Its basically Brampton buses. Couldve made a 161 Queen West Express
@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel I’m pretty sure it was for future development and to encourage it as well, it partially backfired because of their bus shortage, but ridership has grown significantly on the Queen West corridor, but there isn’t enough buses being added to both the 1/1A or 561 to meet that demand anymore

U got from Xcelsior or Nova? Also true I was waiting 20 mins for 4 when 104 Had 2 buses on layover (1 was departing for 5:50pm and the next was departing at 6:xx pm. Personally should do that to 4

what was the heavy rain like in Brampton, heard that Bovaird and Main GO bus stop was out of service due to flood also heard that all kitchener trains had to temporarily run from union to malton only. Also rain here got bad that King Street and Camilla Rd ( part of 4 Miway route) was flooded bad and peel Police blocked that off

@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel Brampton Transit was badly hit tbh, lot’s of runs were cancelled, with many buses pulled off lower ridership/routes that can do without one bus, and put on routes like the 1/1A, 3/3A, 4/4A, 5/5A, 6, 7/7A, 11/11A, 14/14A, 15/15A, 18, 23, 29/29A, 30 and 50/50A, because of both the flooding, a surge in ridership frequent bus breakdowns associated with the rain and overall delays (some routes seeing 60-90 min delays). Many clark buses were covering the 4/4A/104… like 0620 and 0618…
Also, the flooding caused major delays especially on the long and heavily used routes, ESPECIALLY THE 501, 502 and 511, some buses seeing 90 min delays

@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel yeah vodden, the industrial routes (10, 20), 24/25, 28/81, 31, 32/33, 35, 53/57, and 55, and weirdly even Torbram suffered missing buses for part or most of the day

yea ik the 52B (Lawrence or Eglinton - Westwood) but should ride it or get the both 52s (one to Lawrence and one to Eglinton)
try to do a redone V when its more clear(ps you shoud use voice memos makes the externals come out better)
@@transitcitytoronto ik! I already use voice memos, this one’s speaker was kinda faulty… haven’t had any luck with any of the 561 speakers since though (i filmed this in march)… The regular Züm bus speakers kinda suck, and I haven’t seen conventionals on the 561 in a while
For sure though, this one will be redone in september-october at the latest
also Surprised Miways 2023 - Present buses have a diff Luminator Spectrum than 1074
@@ThePeelRegionTransitChannel yeah! 1074 was made in 2010, and luminator has def improved greatly (especially their spectrum). 1073 used to have luminator spectrum too!
The thing about now day luminator spectrums is that they have big numbers but small destinations
