Memories are elusive and ephemeral. Talk to your folks and grand parents before it is too late. Tell your stories to your kids and grandkids now. We are all living history with a tale to tell. Curate your life. You are your docent. We like to keep the past alive thru pop-culture exhibits that all the generations can share together. Ask your parent about the trinkets on their shelf. Go thru old ...

8:40 movie name world with out end
6:34 movie name wake of the red witch 1948
Great reel!
6:14 - Winds of Change, a rare late 1970's animated movie made by Sanrio, the creators of Hello Kitty.
2:49 - Jack Dodson (aka Howard Sprague from The Andy Griffith Show) as the postman in the Slime Worms ad.
I think it was made in 2005
Thanks for the info... I can never keep track .Cheers for watching
Fun stuff! I grew up watching these films back when they were commonplace on television.
I'll take them if the exhibit doesn't want them lol
They'll make it next time.
Rocky Rococo!!!
I worked there in college... egadz over 40 years ago. Cheers for watching.
I saw The Phantom Tollbooth in a theater when it was out. It looked really cool but the story was a bit difficult to grasp for a little kid like me back then. Maybe today I'd like it more. Thanks fir posting this. Oh yeah, you got a new subscriber!
Thanks, I had read the book .. so it hung together for me better. And yes the plot wasn't as straight forward as The Oz books or other fantasy.. Maybe it was trying to be too clever...?
I just got a set of the Marx classic monster figures (I had them when I was a kid but they are long gone), and I have my Creepy Crawler set out right now to make goodies to give out with candy for Halloween!
Cool idea, I did that as a kid. This year I got these cool sets of toys on Amazon , you get like 100 for 20 bucks ... fun to give out unusual stuff
Excellent collection. Very entertaining Halloween treat.
Thanks, enjoy and Happy Halloween.
"Gigantis the fire monster" aka "Godzilla Raids Again" was given the name change because Paul Shreibman wanted to create the impression that it was a different creature rather than godzilla because at the time there were only a few godzilla movies anywhere yet and in the most recent one (at the time) godzilla had died on-screen at the end of the movie.
Thanks for the info, especially as a kid ,,, I cold never figure it out.. cheers for watching
@@supermonstercity2938 No problem. I subscribed. I encourage everyone who has goody reels, trailers, or teasers to upload them to YT or to any other video site of their choice, especially if the movies are from before 1950. You have a great channel friend, just keep doing what you're doing.
8:53 - Another 1960's Soaky Toy commercial surfaced on TH-cam just recently with 2 Universal Monsters and Mr. Magoo! Featuring the voices of Jim Backus (as Magoo) and Paul Frees (narrator of the commercial).
I still have all 4 of my Monster Soakies. Probably why my Father saved these for me. Still have my Hamilton too.
0:40 *SkyLanders. Close.
2:19 that's American Maid from the Tick! She throws her high heels!
I had never heard of her.. thanks for the info
1st unknown figure is Shard Bishop i'm pretty sure.
Cheers,,, I can't keep up with every character.
Coool
Thanks for watching
Cyclops are my favorite.
Great vid buddy.
Cheers for watching!
Why did the video end so soon
Not sure why gotta look into this
Just up loaded the full 4 Minutes we shot... take a look. cheers for bringing it to my attention
Great vid. Love the Cyclops.
Just posted the full version of this vid' , some how I lost 3 minutes in this load up
i am offended and would like history cancelled
That skeleton guy by the lantern is a death eater from Harry Potter.
Thanks... cool guy, pretty spooky.
@@supermonstercity2938 it's a fun one for sure.
Actually, presentism is a logical fallacy. Thank your for perpetuating ignorance.
For their day those dinosaurs were amazing
Hello there, you seem very knowledgeable on who Eric Powell is if you don’t mind me asking would you know what part he had in the movie labyrinth with the David Bowie? If you know, please let me know please thank you for taking the time to read this ✨
I had never heard of a connection between Eric Powell and the movie Labyrinth, I sorta think the movie came out awhile ago and the Goon is much newer. If you find a connection let me know.
Do you have any prehistoric monsters at home just like me have
Kept all my dinosaurs... they are here somewhere.
@@supermonstercity2938 great
I remember the Billiken and Tsukuda Kaiju monster kits from the 70’s and 80’s. I’m just learning now about the Aurora kits. Interesting. Thanks.
They were fun... and they have been reproduced by several companies.. Polar and Northern Lights and maybe more. There are coupla good books about Aurora.. can't think of the names off the top of my head. Also there was a good DVD documentary too. Enjoy some monstrous fun!
5:29 - "The Haunted Strangler" trailer - Voiceover by Paul Frees.
Cool , thanks for the Info..... He had a long career. Cheers for watching
5:00 - Motorized Monster Maker - The blonde boy is Stephen Gustafson (Buddy, on "The Electric Company").
Made by Topper Toys.
I have one somewhere, and recall it being more complicated than Creepy Crawlers. I made an ogre and never got the rest.
That's really art in front of our eyes. Great job
Cheers and thanks, they are great cards.
4:52 - Like that Florida Grapefruit circa 1976 TV commercial jingle.
Great trailers live!!!!!! Really cool
Thanks , keep watching , there are more.
16:26- Billy Barty as "The Fritz".
5:17- David Naughton.
4:16- Jack Collins is "Mr. Fisher".
All these people worked so much...
5:15 - "Are you hungry, have a Totino's."
Some jingles stay with us for ever... thanks for watching, Cheers
Frankenstein’s Monster! When I think of Halloween in the very early ‘70s, I think of him! Frankenstein’s Monster IS Halloween for me. I’m building this kit now and am thinking, hey, I am Doctor Frankenstein! I’m assembling my creation out of parts! When I was small, I thought of him as a robot, possibly from the lightning bolts and bolts he had on his head on my Frankenstein Halloween costume. And - robots are cool! Great video! Great model kits!
Thanks... The pose here was haunting to me as a kid. I have 2, this one my Father painted .. my creation .. the paint is slopped on thick. I am a Halloween guy as well . Before SMC I ran theatrical haunted houses on Oct. Keep on watching and share if you like. Cheers
@@supermonstercity2938 I am building my Frankenstein now. I messed up the paint on his face and had to strip it off with Easy Off. I’ll post a slideshow or something when I get him built. Im no expert modeler, I’m just using spray paint and adding detail to the face with a brush.
@@MusicStudent1 Never heard of Easy Off as a paint remover. As a kid we had the lil' Testors bottle of thinner. As a kid I was such a sloppy painter. Egadz, my Father salvaged many of my mishaps.
These would have been better without the giant logo in the corner.
Sorry, but this way if any one else uses them for their own purposes.... we know where they found them .
Cool video!!❤
This is really cool of you to do! Unfortunately I have seen plenty of videos being t a k e n Down by YT for "PC" reasons and it would be sad to see that happen to your work. You might want to consider starting your own website as a backup and host these there as well. If the traffic builds up enough from here to there then you might see better profit from views as well which will better fund this project giving you a better budget to take on this endeavor and share with it us.
Well, we shall see what happens.. Thanks for watching. The website thing might be more than I wanna do at the moment. Thanks for watching
Lovely stocking!
I had a fun Mom.,...Thanks for watching
Brother! Thank you for sharing this great anecdotal historical information. Thankfully it will not get lost with videos like this.
Thanks for watching...
Hope there's more. Goody Reels of vintage TV commercials sometime soon!
I am on to # 4 today. They are all different and a thrill for me as well.. Keep on watching and share the enthusiasm with others. Thanks
Wish they would reissue Brother Rat Fink.
He was cool and creepy.
Great stuff! Love 'em! I have plenty of those tiny treasures. 😃
They are a lot of fun and stir the imagination in those of us with young hearts
That's awesome!
Thanks!... one of the things you buy and forget for decades.. glad to have found it. Thanks for watching
Those are some amazing pieces! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching.
Absolutely I remember! I must have only been like 6 or 7 when I got some that were made so you could put them on a string to make a necklace, I still have a few! I remember the model kits, but I don’t think I ever had one.
They were fun and outrageous !!! Thanks for watching.
