"You Have Been My Light" // Emotional and Exciting July Wedding
Holy smokes, what a day!
Lauren and Dustin were an absolute blast to work with, making every moment of their wedding day a joy. There was dancing, stunning sunsets, and even fireworks! I’m getting ahead of myself, but trust me-it was a day full of unforgettable moments.
This wedding was a first for me in a couple of ways. For starters, it was the first time I’ve ever lit a couple during fireworks, and I couldn’t be happier with how those shots turned out. They ended up being the perfect opener and closer for their wedding film. The venue itself was breathtaking-a gorgeous spot just outside the GTA with so many settings that made for beautiful wedding cinematography.
Now, let’s talk about Lauren and Dustin’s love story, which is the kind of meet-cute you'd expect from a classic early 2000s rom-com. They first met when they were younger, only to run into each other years later-cue Dustin spilling his coffee all over himself because Lauren was just that stunning. It’s a love story that’s as romantic as it is sweet, and I found myself getting choked up during their vows. They were so heartfelt, so genuine, and you could feel the love radiating between them.
Those emotions carried right into the reception, where we were treated to hilarious and touching speeches from friends and family. From there, the party kicked off-non-stop dancing, laughter, and, of course, the grand finale: fireworks. It was truly an epic celebration, and I’m so grateful to have been there to capture it all.
On a side note, I’m unofficially calling Lauren and Dustin’s wedding film the first in a trilogy because, later this year and next, I’ll be filming the weddings of two of her coworkers. So, keep an eye out-I’m beyond excited for what’s to come!

I want to start by saying this: It is exceedingly rare and incredibly humbling to film another wedding videographer’s wedding. It’s a huge compliment because it shows that not only do they like your work, but they trust you enough to capture their special day. That was the case with Lyndon and Brittany’s wedding. Having worked with Lyndon as a second shooter on several occasions, I approached t...

20 years. That’s how long-ago Amanda and Sam met. And if you listen to them, tell their story, they wouldn’t have had it any other way. Emotions ran high on their wedding day, which unfolded perfectly on a sunny day downtown. As a wedding videographer, spending only a day or two with a couple can sometimes make you a bit jaded when it comes to so-called "love stories." You start to recognize ce...

Sometimes, as a wedding videographer, you have those days when you’re shooting the wedding, and everything feels a little off. There may be factors outside your control, and when you go home at the end of the day, you’re left with a feeling of, ‘I wish that had gone a little better.’ This feeling did not occur with Stephanie and Petar’s day. Pretty much everything from start to finish just went...

Shooting for Andrew and Melody gave me a similar feeling to what it was like shooting for Bonnie and Dave’s wedding almost 2 years earlier, which was very simple: ‘Wow, these people have a lot of really close friends.’ This thought came about not just because of this similar sentiment between the two days but also because I had met Andrew and Melody at Bonnie and Dave’s wedding two years prior....

Mountains, castles, horses, golfing, Toronto. I can say without a doubt that Devon and Tayah’s wedding film is far and away the most diverse and ambitious film I’ve had the privilege to shoot so far. Shot over six different days in six locations - from Casa Loma in Toronto to the Fairmont Hotel in Banff. It was so much fun to put together. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to pack all ...

Man, I don’t even know where to begin with this one. It was just literally such an awesome day from start to finish. Hopefully, it’s very clear from their wedding film - but Bonnie and Dave were such a fun couple that liked to laugh and dance with each other and just have a good time. Victoria (the photographer) and I commented that we really hadn’t seen a wedding party that was quite as tight ...

Kaitlin and Nico are a perfect example of how to take something discouraging-in this case, COVID restrictions-and make the best of the circumstances. I originally met with Nico and Kaitlin back in 2019, before the words “pandemic” and “wedding planning” were ever used in the same sentence. Originally planning on having a large-scale wedding in 2020, they had to move their wedding day back a yea...

This wedding was a special one for me. A few years ago, I met Marc at the gym and we got along well, and I really enjoyed talking to him. This is especially surprising for me, because when I'm at the gym I may usually look a tad unapproachable. Usually, I will have headphones in, and my resting face may not look exactly like the type of guy you would want to approach. I swear I'm friendly thoug...

If you want a hear a romantic story, look no further than Danny and Sharla. I came onboard to their wedding only a week before their day courtesy of a recommendation from their photographer, and I’m so glad that I did. From a proposal in Europe, the impression I got from their vows and speeches was that these two are all about adventure and experiencing new and exciting things together. There a...

You need to add a person that stands 6 foot 7 and a half and wears 40 inch inseam to your trials to get a complete review of comfort and even Abel to operate.

Nope that Mahindra is far better. It got Hydraulic tilt for cargo. Others got manual. Hydraulic is far better for work and practical purposes.
