When I first watched the show, I was confused about why Ted was narrating the story

Even though I really can't stand Ted, I feel about his friends making jokes about him whenever he tried to be more cultural. On the other side, Ted often had the bad habit of correcting other people in an arrogant way. And even when he wasn't in the right, like when he pronounced “chameleon" wrong, he often didn’t want to accept it at first. Even though, as I said, I felt sorry for him in this particular episode, his friends know him better and have to put up with his smartass antics more often. The fact that they made fun of him when he wanted to teach them some culture, even if he had good intentions , is therefore kinda understandable. Overall I could never be friends with someone like Ted, honestly. He's still way to annoying and hypocritical. Especially when it comes to women. Robin would be cool to hang out with but I can’t understand why anyone would want to be in a serious relationship with her. Way to exhausting. Lily is a 50/50. When she's not selfish at times, she's an absolute 10/10 as a wife. Both Barney and Marshall are awesome tho. Marshall is a good guy, unlike Barney, but Barney is the best friend you could ever hope for. If he's your friend, he's your *friend* he'll have your back 100% (unless it's a fight. That point goes to Marshall tho). Barney can give you headaches but he will also make sure your time together will be LEGENDARY.

The math checks out. I think we can estimate how much a crapload is worth in actual dollars. For Ted to be shocked at the price of suits for a corporate guy in Manhattan who loves suits, the number has to be at least 5 figures. He would expect Barney to spend at least a few thousand a year so to be shocked, the minimum amount is probably $10,000. That translates to $60 million Canadian or $50 million American to make it easy. That’s a bit on the low side for a corporate manhattanite to consider massively wealthy. The starting point for that would probably be closer to 9 figures. If we double the suits expenditure to $20,000, we would get $100 million American. Both numbers seem reasonable. A single Brioni suit at Neiman Marcus is 7k alone. If he buys a mixture of 2k, 4k and 7k suits, 20k a year is easily hit. A single Kiton suit is worth 20k and maybe he gets one of those every few years. Now if we raise his yearly suit expenditure to 50k, Robin’s family would be worth $220 million American. That’s probably more in line with what the term massively wealthy means to a rich corporate manhattanite who spends 50k a year on suits. 50k a year sounds like a lot but assuming Barney makes 500k-2 million a year (average for an executive at a large corporation), that’s perfectly reasonable, especially if suits are seen as a passion hobby. Yearly membership at a country club in New York can easily run 10k-20k and doesn’t even include all the additional fees. Nobody blinks an eye when people join country clubs. Thus, I think a crapload is about $50,000 dollars.
