I could do without any holiday food, honestly. I am no longer really one who celebrates...but I know I will end up cooking the regular norms for that day. Turkey and dressing and green beans and potatoes and gravy. Not sure what I personally will eat that day and those will be in small amount...but they will be present for those who want it. I hope I can get in the spirit of the holidays before they get here!

I must admit I am really looking forward to reading the Dickens books with you.

I read The TUrn of the Screw a couple years ago - so creepy and unsettling! I am curious about The Haunted House by Charles DIckens. I've heard a lot of people talking about it this year and I'm very intrigued. LOVE Anne of Green Gables. I really want to read more JJW but I've only gotten to one this year. She writes so fast!

I completed the audiobook (Jane Eyre) but haven’t completed my second time where I am reading and listening (to a different version - like both of them the same but it is fun to have a different one for the second time through). I got a gorgeous illustrated version in today. It had some fun extras in it that I think will make reading it even more meaningful but I am saving it for my next read rather than switching over midstream.

An Irish country doctor and the rest of the series is really good! Love them! I think you will like it. Have a wonderful weekend! 🌷

You reminded me that I never did get to my red book, lol. I didn’t read anything but part of Jane Eyre this month and didn’t get all the squares filled in with my audiobooks (which is funny since I listened to more than one for some categories). I still count it as a huge success. Life happens and we are all busy, but our reading should be fun. Our recreational reading (for those who have to read for jobs or school). Thanks again for doing this - I am so grateful for the push to check out Jane Eyre. I am glad I watched the movie first - that helped me stick with the audio book and made me want to actually read again while listening. Jane Eyre really is a treasure.

Thanks for doing “Eyre of September”. I don’t know if I ever would have gotten around to reading Jane Eyre. Watched the movie, listened to the audiobook and now reading/listening/tabbing - will finish it for Victober. I did not read a single book this month (but got enough of Jane Eyre done that it would count for a smaller book). I did listen to several audiobooks inspired by your prompts. Some of them I enjoyed though I purchased the books and/or requested the book through Libby.

I am going to try to read my set of Anne books. I have the audiobook for Salt to the Sea. I also need to finish “Jane Eyre”. I am listening to it while reading and adding tabs.

We both have three in common for will read. Or, they are "will read" for me. Anne of Green Gables, The Book Thief, Salt to the Sea. We put a couple of those off a while🫣 ... I am debating over reading a Bronte book or a Dickens book...or both! And War and Peace is back on my radar for these fall and winter months.

Congrats on finishing 6 Big Books this summer! So glad you discovered William Kent Krueger - Ordinary Grace and This Tender Land are just as great. I'm going to try his Cork O'Connor mystery series this fall. I always enjoy Dean Koontz, too. We inherited my dad's Dean Koontz and Stephen King book collection, so I have a bunch of them still to read. My son loved the Eragon trilogy. I've been hearing great things about The Frozen River. I have The President Is Missing on my shelf here somewhere. But I didn't know Dennis Quaid performed the audio! Wow, it sounds like a wonderful Big Book Summer for you! Glad you're already looking forward to next year. By the way, I tagged you in a new tag video that is scheduled for next Tuesday - thought I'd let you know now since I'll be camping next week and not online - hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for the wip n chat. i usually have one physical book to read, listening to one on audible and then one on kindle. I find it so hard to work, read the books i want to read and do the diamond paintings i want to do. Lol. I am reading Jane Eyre and working on Space for Reflection. Im glad school is going so well for you.
