@@KeldricL sometimes, when I create a world, I found that names of the cities disappear or I can't delete completely the first nation created by the system. Furthemore I can't delete saved worlds.

Weird. Only issue I had was when downloading Chinese made maps. I just see squares in place of all the city names. I assume it's cause I need to install chinese characters on my PC

For a playtest, I think it's reeeeeally good. The unlock tree of moves is pretty big too. Tons of options that open up as you go

​@@KeldricL In the first map, Zaragoza is a real city and Cantabria and Thuringia are real regions. In the second Angouleme and Narbonne. You guys are americans right? xD Very cool otherwise, might just get it myself.

@Titantr0n I didn't look at them closely when I was playing. I've heard of Zaragoza and Narbonne. Not sure who "you guys" are. I'm in the US, yes. I'm not the developer or related to them.

While I have seen some custom maps people did that were really good copies of the real globe, I think the real history and battles probably isn't in scope for this game.

@zzssddcc Sort of. You don't have a hook, you have to swim and get everything. There's no islands and no building, just crafting. Game ends when you kill the shark

Yeah I know I'm slacking. But I'm working on more of these instead of just the gameplay

I like just putting it on while I work with someone music and watching in all unfold. They keep adding more options and way to customize too, so it keeps getting better!

So this is a combo Idle game/Map simulator. You can generate the map and let it run on it's own, or you issue orders to each nation like attack, truce, alliance, etc... You can also make custom maps, rename most things. and there's a decent amount of stats to check out while things are running. Right now it's a demo on Steam, Fantasy Map Simulator.

Nope, although you can. This is mostly an idle game. but you can make the maps, force nations to attack, make alliances, and other things.

You got it! I play a LOT of roguelikes and it's nice to find one that I can play in very small spurts if I need to to, and has a lot of fun value.

I don't believe you can. Seemed similar to other bosses where if you get caught in it, that's it. Like with the Red Light Green light boss, if you get caught frozen by the red light, you're in the beam till it's done. It's possible someone else might be able to, but would need to try it again.

This is a super fun little game! When I was little one of my favorites in the arcade, and then I got it on PC, was Off-Road. Fun racing games over realistic for me

Hi from the US! I think I figured it out eventually at some point in the video. Probably a sign I should read what the game is telling me once in a while :D

Didnt get a chance to be on it much before it closed, but I'm very likely going to pick it up. They're supposed to be adding a lot more weapon and such. It was pretty damn fun.

Just did another live with some good stuff. Turned on my cam and mic part way through

Didnt notice the settings! Maybe it should default to higher? I wouldnt say I really noticed much weirdness in the graphics due to it. I went in and changes the settings to Ultra. I didn't notice a lot of change in the textures. I did see a change in the colors (richer and there was no white shine over everything), and the animations looked more interesting. The textures of the grass/trees/etc looked pretty similar except for the coloring. As far as pacing of the quest etc... my feedback would be to move something closer to the start. Unless there's something I'm missing? Is finding Hela AFTER the first boss? Or is she just randomly in the forest maps somewhere? There didn't seem like there was much incentive to explore the maps off the path, so if she is there, I wouldnt know. Boss having the ability to basically 1 shot you unless you stood around and killed all the random mobs just tom get upgrades is not a great progression path. Give us the ability to use what we collect right away or after the first run. Either way, I think the game has a lot of potential with some tweeks.

Thanks for watching and the info. Couple thoughts on the mechanics you mentioned. "I've been shying away from automatically going to the next item as that could be frustrating on more expensive recipes later in the game." Im not sure that makes a lot of sense. If I put it in the queue, that means I wanted to make it. Right now, in order to guarantee you get all the items you queue, you either need to do all the math and only put that many to start, OR always have enough to make everything in any situation. I think the solution here is to make it an option to only allow the item in the queue if you already have the items to make it. Obviously I could have done better to attach more belts to the main base to eliminate that, but I was spending so much time making belts and it's components, I just never got to it. Obviously a lot of this gets mitigated if all items are flowing into the base, but it seemed like a chore to get there, instead of feeling like an accomplishment for building a nice assembly line. That covers the next thought. I think you should up the quantity of belts made when you make them manually. Make it at least 2, maybe 3. We want to spend time laying out our base and ultimately here, the thumper and turrets. I get that it's about automation, but the constant struggle to have belts early game seemed to get into the way to of the rest. "One of the things I wanted to do in this game was have monsters progress in difficulty, but not always be in your way." I think that's fine, however maybe putting some one time fight monsters in the places of the map in front of next tier resources would make the world feel more full? "You let sooo many despawn!" Well, you did add an achievement for it. Love to keep watching how the game develops.

@@KeldricL I'm likely overthinking it then. My concern was if you get a boss drop (a somewhat rare item), and queue 3 things that need the boss drop, is it ok to build the 3rd one, and use up your boss drop if the first two are missing other ingreedients? I'll experiment with auto queue sorting or jumping ahead and see if I can build something that makes sense. If/when I post that to an experimental branch I'll let you know! For the belts, I am planning on making Easy setting start you with more belts, but I am going to leave the current belt recipe alone for now. Open to more feedback in the future. On your build, you used a lot more belts than most play testers, and you were continuing to manually create a lot of belts even after you had them automated. I did see that you didn't notice that the tutorial was trying to show you how to make belts, but I am working on upgrading the tutorial system a lot. Hopefully in the future when I get the tutorial properly integrated, players won't find themselves manually creating near as many belts. I think that's on me to get a better tutorial working. My current plan is to have the tutorial be more specific in its guidance, and put some in-world indicators to make the learning curve easier. I'm also considering gifting the player stacks of copper wire and magnets as rewards for completing tutorial steps to make the early game go faster. I think you'll find that a second play through of the early game will go much faster because of the learning curve being done, and that likely means I need a much better tutorial so first time players can have more fun! Really appreciate the feedback oriented structure of your video btw.

I think my head confusion about connecting the belt automation to the base was that I'm so used to connecting stuff like that to a separate storage and making my own hub, I just didnt think of the base as a hub. I just kept picking them up and they were timing out and I was just trying to get the rest built.

@@KeldricL I've updated the queue per your feedback and others. I've fixed the bug with cancelation, as well as make how to cancel easier. I've also updated the game so it will build out of order if resources for the earlier items in the list are not available. So it should be a less tedius part of the game. Thanks again for providing well thought out feedback!
