Yikes, that noise reduction! Really better off using deadcats. Good lav mics for the price. As always, Fifine’s great with the analog aspect, but they’ll need to work on their digital/software-based solutions. Great review!!

Wow! I agree with your assessment 100%. I can't believe fifine's QC department let that fly. It's gotta be one of the worst noise reduction systems I've ever heard. Definitely a better way to go with just the dead cats.

Just a quick question and observation. During the sound samples before your final thoughts I am hearing a little bit of a noise limiter clipping your voice. Was this a post noise reduction setting?

I hated this movie

It was a fantastic movie to see in a theater. The crowd's reaction, esp to the punchline in the title song, really made the experience and I've loved it ever since

I have the same mic but usb version. In have have o problem! My mic volume is very low.. Windows mic set to max 100 % at the mic buttons pres max++. And not helping. I buyed sound card and connected with xlr cable. same thing! low volume!. You can speak far away and its very loud! For my mic i cant you have to eat this mic to speak normaly. at the moment im using EQ apo and set gain to 8... becouse its imposible to use...

That's an absolute steal! Fully agree with buying second hand items. I bought my U87 used (three times only) for $2000, versus the full $3,600! Best audio purchase I've ever made. It's just a matter of knowing where to look and doing your due diligence!

Pretty cool looking paint job! You're a brave man. I've never had success spraying the grille of a mic (usually get paint that blocks the holes and stuff). Looks like you got it done clean though. Its crazy how good this mic sounds for the price it is!

HA! Now I know who makes the BM800. This mic was rebranded as the BM800 for cheap mic combo kits like the one you're reviewing now. They create all kinds of different combo kits for this mic. The kit I got costs $13.00 on TEMU, but I've seen them as high as $29.00 or so.

Great review bro. I've been watching some of your stuff again. I actually own and reviewed this mic too. It is a way cool design as you mentioned but did you know that you can use an XLR to XLR cable as well just like the Rockville mics. Rockville comes with both. I never use those shitty XLR to 3.5mm cables. A lot of times the 48v power doesn't even put out 48v. 48v condenser mics can run on much lower voltage than they say. In one of my mixers, I stuck a multimeter in to the XLR jack and discovered it was only delivering 32V! LOL So I just thought I'd throw that out there to you. Keep up the good work bro.

I have been using Pularys wallet for 3 years now and still good and works. The leather develop patina. IMHO, Pularys is better than Ekster. The fact that Ekster relies on an elastic band to hold the main card holder and backplate together is the decision factor for me. Not a fan, honestly. That elastic is bound to wear out over time. I was this close to hitting 'buy,' but the idea of a stretched-out band made me think twice. Pass for me.
