Hi Jared- We live in Stapleton as well and have the exact same issue with the moths. Have you found a way to keep them out in the first place? I tried putting a screen over the intake pipe outside, but I think my screen holes are too big, as the moths are back. I could try a smaller screen, but our Rinnai installer said we need to be careful as to how small we go as it could overly restrict the airflow to the unit.

Being I have recently lost my husband and he was the one who would clean it out when this problem accrued. As this problem accrued I went into panic mode being I couldn’t take a shower being my hot water didn’t last long due to these moths. I looked up this video even with the fast forward and not any close up you help me get it fixed. I want to thank you for putting this up it help me get the problem solve and helped me with my anxiety on getting this done. These videos are helpful for woman like me who has to do house maintenance on her own without being charged a lot of money to get a maintenance man to come get it done. Now to tackle the water flush. Same issue. Loud groaning when hot water was used. Had a technician clean out our loud Rinnai. Great. . . blower motor full of bugs. That did not quiet it down however. We are replacing the blower motor.
