The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends is a game based on a Ancient cartoon that most kids probably only through it being used a filler on a couple of TV Networks at that time. I didn’t know that in the early 90’s, Rocky and Bullwinkle were kind of having resurgence, due to nostalgic adults at that time. They were in commercials for both Taco Bell, Hershey’s Chocolate (Taco Bell really got behind them, and did a series of commercials, even T-shirts with them) and their vitamin soda pop, and there was a documentary Of Moose and Men: The Rocky and Bullwinkle Story about the creation of the cartoon on PBS that was pretty popular at that time. It was not exactly a huge license for the time, but I think kids were aware of them. Because at the time, Rocky and Bullwinkle was being aired syndicated on local stations and on Nickelodeon, alongside with The Underdog Show. Nickelodeon, CBS (for 2-week run “The Last Angry Moose“ arc), syndication (I know seeing episodes at home; our Fox affiliate WTTG Fox 5 in Washington, D.C. and on my other Fox affiliate WTAT Fox 24 in South Carolina where I lived during the 90's) and Cartoon Network and Disney was released several episodes on home video at the point.
