Jeremiah Michael - Meet Your Teachers
“The Sent Ones: Acts of the Jewish Apostles” takes you back to a time when Jerusalem was not the modern city we see today but the heart of the ancient world. Two thousand years ago, Yeshua and his apostles walked its narrow streets, taught in the Temple courts, and shared the message of God’s kingdom with those who would listen. This study immerses you in the historical and cultural setting of Jerusalem, exploring the challenges and experiences of Yeshua’s followers in a city on the brink of monumental change. By understanding the world they lived in, we can better grasp the powerful mission they were given-and the impact it has on our lives today.

“The Sent Ones: Acts of the Jewish Apostles” takes you on a transformative journey through the life of Paul, one of Yeshua’s most influential apostles. Paul’s mission was not about converting others to a new religion but expanding the message of Israel’s Messiah to the nations. Well, yes, ISRAEL is definitely chosen by God, but I think if you take that too far you become just as bad as people who argue in the other direction. Why?, because the Torah is very explicit about being cut off from the covenant. If you are in fact, Jewish and don’t follow the Torah. Unfortunately, Christian Zionism has brainwashed people into thinking that Jews, regardless of their association with the Torah are somehow “” special.”” And regardless of their behavior, they are supposed to be treated with special privileges. Nothing can be further from the truth. In fact, Jews, who reject and are not obedient a Torah lifestyle are cursed from the Almighty himself. Not to mention how they will be subjected to horrible treatment by gentiles. This idea where Jews are constantly put on a pedestal regardless of their Torah affiliation is very dangerous. Moreover, we cannot lose sight of the fact that when the apostles, especially Paul is referring to Jews and the rejection of the gospel message he’s mostly talking about Jews that were religious as he was a Torah obedient Jew , who thought rejecting the Master was in alignment with Toral obedience he’s not referring to people that are “Karet” or cut off. I think there’s a conflation between the two and again this is very very dangerous. Peace

      You misinterpret karet. Being cut off due to sin might mean punishment or death in this world or the World to Come. However, it can be undone through repentance, and the Bible doesn’t say Jews individually or corporately can lose their covenantal status due to disobedience. In fact, Deuteronomy 30 anticipates Israel breaking the covenant then being restored through repentance. Also, Paul says of all Jews that, “as regards election, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:28-29).

    • @ABC101-xyz
      @ABC101-xyz 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ the key word is “if”. Moreover, Paul is referring to religious Jews who reject Jesus’ message. Again Christian Zionism has distorted many ares of scripture. The current state of Israel is totally anti- Torah but yet many Christians are so brainwashed they can’t see it. I respect your right to your opinion but disagree. Peace

    I have a great deal of respect for this organization, but I have to say you guys are not telling it like it is. The current state of Israel is a secular country. It has absolutely nothing to do with the Torah. It was founded by Zionist that actually hated religious people. I’m very worried about the direction this organization is taking. It seems that you guys are enamored with all things Jewish. That kind of blindness is dangerous. Zionism is a fraud and I think you guys need to start making a distinction between Torah Judaism and the scam that is happening in Israel. 🇮🇱 has become their golden calf.

      Joy over the return of millions of Jews to the land of Israel and the first independent Jewish state in millennia is not blindness due to a fraud, scam, or golden calf. Paul could claim to have “seen the Master” (1 Corinthians 9:1), but he conceded that the abnormal circumstance of his commissioning called his apostleship into question: “ Last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also. For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle” (1 Corinthians 15:8-9).

      @@user-xo3yk8gr1t he didn’t have lunch with the guy or see him turn the water into wine but he saw Jesus/God beyond the point which Moses did. For Moses when he saw the backside did not go blind. Physiologically there is some evidence to promote the claim that this is something that we could only really handle viewing Jesus in the flesh not the ascended Jesus with earthly eyes. Isaiah even went through some horror just in the prophecy state seeing the throne. Fell down said “I’m not worthy to be here.” But God fixed the problem for Isaiah and he fixed the problem in Paul’s life too. Those three days of blindness were completely transformative he was to waiting three days for Ananaias to come and tell him more and to heal him. He was probably thinking I may never see again because God had taken away his sight.

    Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. I really think the great commission has the word disciple but there is this hidden connotation of apostleship inside it because of the word to go and make more. Of all nations. That proliferation requires apostleship. And fruitfulness. Thoughts?

    • @firstfruitsofzion
      @firstfruitsofzion 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      All disciples of Yeshua are apostles in a loose sense, not in the way the Bible generally uses the term. Note that the Great Commission instructs to make each new student of Yeshua a disciple (mathētēs), not an apostle (apostolos). Like "disciple," "apostle" was a set, standard term within Judaism at that time. An apostle (Hebrew: shaliach) was an official representative sent on a particular assignment. Unlike all other disciples, the apostles were eyewitnesses of the resurrected Messiah-meaning they actually saw him alive again and were sent to testify to this. As Luke put it, Yeshua “had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God” (Acts 1:2-3).

How does the parallel work? If he gave us righteous through His faithfulness and not our own, and it’s used to parallel Adam and how he sinned and gave us designation as sinners by his disobedience and not our own.

    I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn the Torah from a Jewish perspective. It seems only right that all believers share the responsibility to remove as many initial barriers to learning as possible, giving everyone the chance to grow in their faith. I’ve shared samples of the written material with several pastors who were initially excited to explore the Bible from a Jewish perspective with their congregations. However, their enthusiasm faded after watching the videos and exploring the website. For instance, the website describes and emphasizes Messianic Judaism as ‘the most exciting movement of our time’ and ‘a restoration of something lost’-which can feel like something meant to replace, rather than enhance, the Church. Pastors and Christians often find Jewish concepts culturally unfamiliar and difficult to grasp. What saddens me most is that many believers, who genuinely want to learn the Jewish roots of their faith, struggle because the focus shifts toward promoting a movement and pointing out what’s wrong with the Church, rather than simply teaching God’s word. The written materials alone are perfect for any Christian and structured in a way that makes them easy to learn from. However, when combined with the emphasis on a movement and criticisms of the Church, they create an initial barrier that prevents many from engaging with the teaching. I’ve repeatedly tried to reach out on behalf of our pastors and leadership to discuss how we could implement this teaching in our church and remove these barriers, only to be ignored.

    • @wileyx30

      Why be replaced when we can learn more about God and share and grow within the church and not worry so much about the name of a religion. Messianic Jewish perspective is from a view of what Jesus shared with the apostles that were Jewish and continued being Jewish even after our master had risen. Their perspective was Jewish, and they shared the good news of the messiah as they learned and realized from the Torah and prophets that he is the messiah. For how were we to know he is messiah, if we didn’t have the information presented of what it was to be messiah.

    Based on my understanding, Messianic Judaism at the moment is essentially an extention of synagogue Judaism that existed during the 2nd Temple Judaism. What I am curious is how Messianic Judaism will reflect on Temple Judaism that is supposed to have evolved into the Eucharist Celebration by Catholic Priest. What might really revive the early apostolic Jewish Christianity would be some sort of an Eastern Catholic Rite - a Jewish Catholic Rite that fully integrates Messianic Synagogue/Rabbinic Judaism with the Messianic Temple Judaism that subsist in the Catholic Rites with Eucharist as the messianic temple sacrifice and the Catholic Priesthood as the messianic "temple" priesthood. As a Jewish Catholic Rite, the Messianic Jews will fully revive the full essence of Judaism as they will now be able to again conduct the messianic temple sacrifice through the Eucharist. Messianic Jews will again have a covenant sacrificial system in which the current rabbinic Judaism does not have because of the absence of the temple in Jerusalem.

    • @firstfruitsofzion
      @firstfruitsofzion หลายเดือนก่อน

      No rite has replaced the Temple in Jerusalem, and no group will replace the priesthood of Aaron. Yeshua’s followers continued to offer sacrifices in the Temple for forty years after his death and resurrection (Acts 2:46; 3:1). Unfortunately, Gentile Christianity has misread Hebrews nearly since it was written, taking it to be a denunciation of the Levitical Temple system. Rereading it as a first-century Jewish work with Jewish argumentation yields an entirely different meaning that does not undercut God's promises of the house of prayer for all nations (Isaiah 56:7) and the eternality of the priesthood (Jeremiah 33:17-18): ffoz.org/messiah/podcast/why-christians-misunderstand-hebrews
