Hitting woes due to TMobile park is such BS! Plenty of beautiful green ponderosa out in the gaps. Problem is MLB is all power driven these days by the long ball and the art of hitting has disappeared.

Why are they so bad on the road? It's not hard to figure out. First of all......teams just don't play as well on the road as they do at home. Also our pitching is NOT as good as we think. They are aided by the ballpark they play half their games in. So when they go on the road they give up more runs than they do at home. And you would think that their offense would improve on the road. But I believe the hitters are in their heads due to playing at T-Mobile. They take their hitting woes on the road with them. They are pressing constantly and press on the road just as much as at home.

Curious why this guy is a Ms fan, if I didn't live and grow up in WA State I would never be an Ms fan. Tim Stanton who is now VP of Baseball Administration, would be on John Stanton’s short list to replace Dipoto. I am sure that fans would praise the change to get rid of Jerry Dipoto and replace him with John Stanton’s son. Keeping it in the family is something that fans would probably fully endorse with gusto as long as Dipoto is gone. Fans would be buzzing, the likes of which we have never seen before in M’s baseball history.

Here is a mind blowing stat the Mariners have lost 9 of their last 11 games since July 14th in which they lead by 2 or less runs going into the 7th inning or later. Basically these last 6 weeks when they aren’t up by 3 runs or more going into the 7th they lose. Unbelievable, not sure how that happens. Horrible offense combined with a bad shaky bullpen. What makes it worse it has come vs teams like the Angels 4x, As and Tigers. That’s the season right there. You win 8 or 9 of those games like a good normal playoff contender they are 77-62 or 78-61.

Made the mistake of following early this year. Never again. Someone let me know if they ever make a postseason.

You have some good takes brother, but there's one big difference between the Niners situation and the Mariners. It's called a "salary cap." Baseballs going to continue to have these issues with cheap owners until they make that change. All of the major top 4 sports have a salary cap. I don't see why baseball feels they don't need one. Jeff Passan summed up the Mariners upcoming offseason perfectly. If you want the fan base to take the ownership serious which most of us don’t. Stanton is going to need to make a strong run at Soto. Need another high profile bat to go with Julio.

And I agree.....even though he is still young.....I don't believe Julio is a Mount Rushmore type player for this franchise either. He is finishing season 3 and is easy to pitch to and has been unable to make basic adjustments that an uber talent will make. For every star player who is able to adjust their game and keep getting better year by year......there are 75 players who just can't or don't. Julio has shown NO signs that he is getting better. There is NO way a 21 year old rookie shouldn't be quite a bit better by his age 23 season. There is NO reason to have made no progress forward in your first 3 years. He was a better player during his rookie season. That should NOT happen.

Their splits both pitching and hitting home and away are clearly the BALLPARK. You make it a better hitters park then the pitching success will suffer. Fact. But you need to find a happy medium. This ballpark will prevent ANY top free agent hitters from signing here. Their pitching while very good....is not nearly as good as it looks.

I agree about Julio unfortunately. Lotta national writers talked about his crazy run last season but it was mostly against the A's White sox and Royals. Other than that he has had more bad months than good.

Jerry has done a good job despite having the rug pulled from under him 3 years straight when it comes to budget. I really don't care about all that other noise, it doesnt affect how the team performs. You can't put the blame on him for players like garver or polanco under performing. If anyone is to blame its Stanton and his ownership group. If the team were given the money promised for 3 years we would be a monster

The organization has not won squadoosh. Making the play-offs once in 20 years!? The only organization that deems this acceptable does not “know” how to build a balanced winner. Budget? What hitters performance brought in the past two years is a success? The time is running short for this starting pitching staff to stay intact. Good luck 🙄
