@kbac7778 I've been in 6.. F1 to the worse F5 Plainfield Illinois.. 1990 ..again you see people having parties for a hurricane but never have I seen a tornado party ..that's like playing cards in a rodeo ring cut the bull lose .. ..Things just ain't gonna be the same afterwards

@@Dan-ti6wgWhat I was thinking about was the fact that this tornado had the same winds as a cat 3-4 hurricane. The tornado lasted a few minutes where the hurricane can last for many hours. Regardless, I dont want either of them... 😀

Every once in a while I will look at 1980s Goldwings for sale and dream about getting one!!! They have that nice classic look to them!!!!
My old Wing was the smoothest, most reliable bike I've ever owned, and I've owned a bunch. You can't beat 'em.

Thank You for the comment! I cannot compare the Goldwing to any other as its in a class of its own. Some previous bikes are the old Honda Rebel. CB 450/500X, vulcan

Noticed he rides in Manual..Econ Mode..also. ..I ride that setting 99% of the time.. I can control gear and RPM..!
Also I feel that Econ and Rain mode may also help increase fuel economy... not 100% sure but I feel that it does 😀

Dear Honda Company, Can you please install a quality camera as standard equipment on the 2025 Goldwing?
That would be a great idea!!! Kind of like what Tesla did to their cars...
I guess the only place to find a quality camera for installation is in the parts market, Honda emailed us a couple weeks ago and we are looking to work with them.
@@INNOVVDashCam That would be good for the consumer I feel if Honda went that route. I just checked out your website and I might have to give your cameras (motorcycle and car dashcam) a try one of these days!!!!

I've had some great bikes... Ducati's, Kawasakis & still own a Hayabusa, but nothing compares to my new Gold Wing.
Thats great!!!! That Hayabusa sounds fun!! I still want to try out an FJR1300 and a concours but I know they couldnt replace my GW... Thanks for chiming in!!
@kbac7778 The Hayabusa is an absolute beast & in a class of it's own when it comes to speed, but the Gold Wing just does everything so well that it's all I really care to ride anymore. ... & the Wing gets more looks & comments than the Hayabusa ever has.
@@sgravitt I agree, each bike haws its own purpose depending on what you want to do and the GW has a little of everything built in... And yes Ive have people at red lights ask me about my GW. I think that over the years Honda has really made them more sporty looking.

Good question!! I can tell you that some people claim to have a limiter on their Goldwing and it maxed out at around 120mph but I have known Goldwing owners that doesnt have a so called limiter and have seen it at 130mph. But saying that, I would imagine the level of accuracy of the speedometer could be questionable.

@@FauzyHidayat I understand... Usually I'll insert some music if all I have is wind noise . GW's arent usually loud motorcycles but on a good day I can really capture the engine clearly.

My 21 DCT Airbag is in a league all by itself. So smoothe, so quiet, lots of creature comforts. I'm pretty sure this will be the last bike I'll ever own, because I won't outlive the Wing.
That's awesome!! I can definitely relate to how you feel about your Goldwing. I think only the touring models come with the air bags so I didnt get that option. I think our Goldwings will be outliving us both 😂
Just a little friendly advice. You kindly talk about bike safety while sitting in cars blind spots. Never do that; it only takes one car with a distracted driver to bat you off the road. Either speed up so you are a car length ahead or drop back. Also, look towards being in position 3 so the driver in front can see you clearly. That is, if they always use their mirrors. Lastly, use the lane of least resistance and hop to the front of those cues. Be your safest in front of the cars, not sat behind them. Maybe its illegal look for cops and make the move.
I'm no way the ambassador of motorcycle safety so I greatly appreciate your input as it is too easy to get complacent at times.
Almost three years ago we purchased our forever motorcycle. a new 2020 FJR1300. Similar to you, I had always thought that heated grips, electric screens etc were over the top. Until the first winter ride in freezing temps. Yep, I'm now a fan of the extras. The FJR was our forever bike, right up until a few months ago when my butt sat on a Goldwing for the first time. The style queen on the back has already approved the potential purchase.
Thanks for sharing your story!!! I still day dream about owning a FJR1300. Who knows, maybe I'll find a used one at a great price in the future..... I really hope you guys ending up getting a Goldwing and uploading some more videos!!
I currently ride a Honda VFR, great bike but a little short in the comfort area. I’m torn between a FJR or Goldwing. Just wondering if you purchased a Goldwing and how it compares to the FJR? I’m sure FJR blows it out of the water performance wise, but I doubt it compares in comfort to the Goldwing. Sometimes I feel I should just skip the FJR and go straight to the king of the tourers.
@@Jacob-he1lg Which VFR do you have? 800 or 1200? I almost got a VFR800 some time ago but the deal was too much in the sellers favor..... I dont have experience on the FJR but you are correct about the performance is much better than the goldwing.. Saying that, the newer GWs in sport mode does have some decent power... I did see a newer FJR at the dealership last year and I honestly felt had better ammenities and build quality. Id choose the GW over the FJR but would love to have an FJR as a second bike...
@@kbac7778 800cc, 2004 I bought it new and rode it ever since, 0 problems. I was in my late 20s when I bought it, now I'm in my late 40s. I put a Corbin seat, after market windshield, bar risers, and electronic cruise control on it. It's reasonably comfortable, but I've done never multiple overnight trips on it. The most I've rode is 5-6 hours at a time, after 3-4 hours it gets downright uncomfortable. I test rode a 2018 DCT Goldwing, and really liked it. I have not ridden a FJR, I'd like to gauge the comfort level of that bike. The Goldwing was awesome, but I don't know if I ready to go that direction yet. If I get a Goldwing, I"m keeping the VFR. It's worth more to me than it's worth in money.
@@Jacob-he1lg We still haven't purchased a GW, but the time is approaching, possibly mid next year at this stage. As for performance, I think that you would be surprised (I was) by how well the GW performs. A well ridden GW will not be embarrassed on most roads. It is a very capable machine but, for obvious reasons the FJR will show it the way most times. Comfort, amenities, it is the king.
Loads of fun rides planned with my EWMA G2 friends. <IL-G2> meeting is being moved bed to Fox Lake, Il. About 10,000 fun miles of smiles last year!

@kbac7778 YW, thank you for the video. If riders only knew about the GW 1800. Many are still stuck on the Terminator and the t.v. show "SOA". So they ride V-twins. Honda gives WAY MORE bang for the buck! Ride safe, with plenty of joy and excitement! 👍 👍 👍

Hey there, I hope you are feeling much better. Last year I got hit with COVID and it drained every bit of energy out of me. It isn't nice so I know how you feel. I enjoyed your video. Today I was at the Honda dealer looking at the 2024 green Goldwing and the Black airbag model. That green sure do look sharp. Take care my friend.
