Sierra "Grande" is a shield volcano in northern New Mexico near Des Moines that is about 8700' in elevation at its summit. It has a dirt service road used to access communication towers at its summit and I doubt if the area is even open to the public. Sierra "Blanca" is a mountain in the southern part of New Mexico that has no road to its summit. The footage looks like it is somewhere in the Lincoln National Forrest north of Ruidoso and just a few miles away from where Sierra Blanca is located.

I've watched a lot of footage of gorillas at a lot different zoos and have never seen one who doesn't mind getting wet. Most hate getting wet, even to the point of signaling zookeepers to let them inside if it starts to rain. Interesting. And I wonder what he is doing with is mouth?

I watch all the gorilla TH-cam videos. Silverbacks are okay but my favorites are the mothers with new borns. Strong but oh so ever gentle with these babies. Humans would do well if they were as caring and loving with their babies.

Terrible video and dishonest depiction of a jewel of history held hostage behind a cyclone fence imprisoned on a few nondescript acres cramped in an oil company's encroachment. Shooting sidewalks and a few architectural building highlights with a fancy lense to make it appear larger than the shameful small corner of a parking lot .. Tourist dollars are important now aren't they. You can do better. Release this Cajun Queen and turn loose some more oil money with more land to present her in her former glory. Disappointing video

I am not sure what peak you were on, but there aren't any roads to the summitt of Sierra Blanca. The actual summit of Sierra Blanca is 11,973'. There are several unnamed peaks around Sierra Blanca. One in particular is across the "valley" from the ski slopes. It has a road going to the top of it, according to the topo maps I have. If there was an observation tower there, it was probably Monjeau Peak which is at 9,641' but is several miles to the north of Sierra Blanca. The road to it also starts in Alto.

And when they are going extinct because humans are killing and eating them, selling heir babies and destroying their habitat the zoo is the only place to bring back their numbers. All of the major zoos animals have been born and bred in the zoos and know no other life. Stop over populating the planet with humans so the other animals have a chance. That is the only way things will change.
