Suzuki Ignis Review

It's been around for a while, yet it remains one of the most characterful products within Suzuki's modern portfolio. We've been behind the wheel of the Suzuki Ignis 1,2 GLX manual
Omoda 5 Review
Touted as the luxury division of Chinese brand Chery, the striking-looking Omoda 5 certainly turns heads. Does it offer substance to match its exterior styling? We've been behind the wheel of the entry-level Omoda 5

We did in the recently updated Toyota Fortuner what thousands of South African families do with these trusted vehicles on an annual basis... a road trip!
Haval Jolion HEV review
As the Haval brand continues to disrupt the establishment in terms of offering impressive value and enticing packaging, the petrol-electric hybrid version of the popular Jolion introduces a new dimension to this Chinese brand's local portfolio. We've been behind the wheel of the Haval Jolion HEV *Yes, I realise that I say "look how quiet this car is" in the video... #fail
Hyundai i30 N review
When Hyundai announced its i30 N hot hatch it made no attempt to hide the fact that it was a Golf GTI hunter. While the first car was only available in SA with a manual transmission, the updated current car now offers the convenience (and raciness) of a double-clutch automatic gearbox. Towards the end of 2022 (hence my reference to the Civic Type R coming "next year"), Hyundai kindly gave me th...
BAIC Beijing X55 review
Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation, or BAIC (pronounced "bike"), as it likes to be called is a Chinese brand that has been around since 1958 (so, not quite 100 years as I mistakenly mention in the video). Within its portfolio, the Beijing brand offers suitably premium touches and elevated levels of sophistication compared with the somewhat more basic BAIC-branded products. The first Beijin...
2022 Kia Sportage review
Showcasing just how far this Korean brand has come in terms of market perception, build quality and impressive value, the fifth-generation Kia Sportage is one of our favourite modern SUV packages. We've been behind the wheel of the top-of-the-range 1.6 T-GDI GT-Line S.
Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace review
The popularity of the VW Tiguan SUV in South Africa is well documented. How does the inclusion of a longer wheelbase and third row of seats alter the look and feel of this package, though? We've been behind the wheel of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace 1.4 TSI R-Line.
Audi RS 3 review
While the inclusion of the brand's legendary turbocharged 5-cylinder engine and quattro all-wheel drive was a given, Audi has gone to great lengths to ensure the likely last generation RS 3 is also the best of its kind. I took Kate for a drive in the 2022 Audi RS 3 Sedan
Haval H6 HEV hybrid review
Already causing a stir on the local automotive scene, Haval's popular H6 SUV package has been bolstered with the introduction of a hybrid derivative. With its improved efficiency and impressive specification, could this be the pick of the H6 range?
Hyundai Venue review
Recently updated, the Hyundai Venue is an important model for its Korean maker. Competing against the likes of the VW T-Cross and Toyota Urban Cruiser, we've been behind the wheel of the 1.0 TGDI Fluid DCT model.
Nissan Qashqai review
The vehicle that all-but created the crossover segment when it was first launched, the third-generation Nissan Qashqai has grown in terms of both its dimensions and inherent levels of sophistication. We've been behind the wheel of the newest Qashqai.
Hyundai Tucson review

Larger and more luxurious than ever, via its chiselled new styling the fourth generation Hyundai Tucson certainly draws attention. We took a drive in the flagship 2.0 Diesel Elite derivative.

Ford Mustang 5.0 California Special review
The Only Problem I feel about the Suzuki Ignis is that the Length should have been 3900mm - ie. 10cm more in the Reardoor and Backseat space. And 10cm more in the Bootspace. That would have been Perfect.
Hello, what is the name of the track in the intro please? Thank you !
Very nice car!! I'm waiting for mine in brooklyn grey. What's the sound in the intro? Thank you!
Thank you. I think I will buy this one. 🙏
No street, inside views!
No Turbo means less to go wrong
Con is very stolen
GR is "Gazoo Racing" Why no sun roof in SA.
Does the car have an exterior 360 view where camera or digital ? Does it show the front or just the back
I bought one three months ago in Cape town. Really a fantastic vehicle. Sadly my wife stole it. We charge it from our home solar.
Howzit from Sydney
I bought Beijing Baic in 2023 with stunning look of it inside and outside. 2024 I was in an accident , to my surprise it has taken two months wating for the parts to arrive in SA. I am so annoyed , and I love this car too much. Its a warning if you want to buy them. I will still buy it for its security and comfort.
Absolutely rubbish 🗑 had one sold after 3 months
Roll on next week I get mine with class top looking forward to it mines this one
More like a talk show than a review. You literally don’t show the car
Love you reviews guys!
lol. what did you hit?
Yeah, what did you hit. Sounded like you hit the curb. 😅
Waaoo we don’t get this type of Hyundais in India. By default it’s sounding awesome
Hi sub from India this car is cute. Is it manufactured in SA?
Nope, made in China.
This platform will be used for the new gen Mini. It is corectly so, Miniesk.
Are you sure it's NA?
I watched this as I made the mistake of thinking SA standard for South Australia. How’s the wife finally adjusted to doing her own housework?
It is 100k less than an equivalent T-Cross with additional value add. Would buy the Venue any day of the week and it might even still be in the parking lot when I return from shopping.
Cool car - I had the TCR and definitely considering getting one of these - such beautiful machines 👍
She was so scared when you turned the car into race mode😂😂😂😂😂😂...really loved the reaction
"It looks good when it's coming down the road, like you " 😊, something my girlfriend would also say...super cute😅
Make sure you can live without the hybrid system working if you live in cool weather. My new Ignis doesn't work right (not at all) if it's under about 8C....so about 4-5 months out of the year it will get no hybrid help with mileage and power.....disappointing.
Thanks for this informative review, which is also great for us relative to a SA market. I think the X3 is amazing, I just felt that the 2.0d engine, although good torque just didn’t do enough for me in terms of power, especially coming from a 2.0T. Also could be the fact that it just feels so refined on the road. That being said it’s the only con, in otherwise a well designed and featured car. I think the 3.0d gives you that extra bit of punch, if you looking for an inbetweener, from this to the M40i.
I like how she saves his ass every time. 🤣👍
Chery is so much better than any VW
Love my Ignis. Had it for six years. Strong, reliable and fun.
Very nicely done!
“No you don’t I’ll never take you in one of those “ 😂😂😂
Loved you review thanks Gone for the Ignis as my husband has a Vitara. It has pulled boats and caravan and never let us down so hence I chose a Suzuki too get my new Ignis SZ5 tomorrow in the gorgeous burning red metallic which is awesome. Can’t wait so excited. Even our Labradoodle ‘Alfie’ will get in thanks to the sliding seats and also if he behaves. Love to you both from Scotland 🏴
Nice
Thank you for the review, it really helped with my choice. Thoroughly enjoying the GR
My Dreams 🤍🖤 staria ❤️🖤
Fuel consumption not a problem, even if it is high...you save R100 K on prize compared with the rivals...Also, look at the warrantly, 7 yrs or 1000 000 km for first owner
We need the both of you in a Chery TIggo 8 Pro Max. ASAP!
Real good content here. Keep it up you two.
Tiguan uses lower level MQB platform with transverse engine, Q5 and Macan use MLB platform and longitudinal engines. Have recently test driven Tiguan R and Tiguan R Line, and Q5, and Q5 Sportback. The Q5 is next level refined and quality. And more expensive. Pick up my new Q5 Sportback 45TFSI tomorrow 👌😁. I don't need this to "turn heads", it's my daily. I get the turned heads in my 911 and Aston Martin Rapide S 😉👍. Good brief review. You need a better res camera, or lighting. Or both 😊
how the hell you guys dont have over a mil subs is beyond me ??? Another awesome review
Share their channel all across your social media, then it just may happen 🎉
Been enjoying these reviews/discussions. Big fan of Suzuki. Had a few models. Nearly bought this car but thought 'What the heck' and bought the Swift Sport ZC33s. You should feature it on your channel.
what the heck spend double on a sport? xD lol. The swift sport is hella nice though
The salesman told me to drive the Swift Sport first when he saw me looking at it, and then the Ignis. No way was I going to buy the Ignis after test driving the Swift Sport first. He knew it 😂.
Haha fair. My mini cooper got written off by that big hail storm in nov so looking at a swift or ignis since mine is a 2010 and not getting a ton for it even though low Km. Have hard time fitting into other models being 194cm since the windscreens curve towards you too much. Testing a 15k km used Ignis GLX with some extras on it on monday. @@brianjacobs8839

Is it better then Haval Jolion?
Great review. Can the safety alarm system be turndown?
Please do this review again start over.
It seems all the Chinese brands are using 1.5 l turbo and wonder it they’re from one source.
