Autumn Showcase 2024 - Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (26/10/2024)
The last hurrah of the main operating season saw an intensive timetable on offer on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, encompassing steam and diesel haulage, goods trains, brake van rides and 3 passenger sets in operation. The weekend of the 26th / 27th October also saw the final gala appearance for Manor class 7820 "Dinmore Manor" before her boiler ticket expiry in January 2025, and the FIRST appearance for 38xx 3850! 28xx No.2807 also sported a beautiful new GWR wartime black livery, making for a wonderful double header featured in this video!

@85ASteam thank you - appreciate your comment! Greet Tunnel is a favourite spot of mine - but does need a tall tripod to see over the shrubs along the fencing but worth checking out! Dinmore will be missed and was certainly a good send off for her last gala!

@JohnGillespie-s5n definitely a favourite of mine - she put on a great show over the weekend as well. If all goes well, within 5-10 years she'll be overhauled and back out!

Splendid coverage Kieran, certainly a good variety on show here! I must admit I do quite like the Class 52 'Westerns', hopefully we'll see one in the original Maroon livery in future (one can hope!); nothing wrong with BR Blue though. 4930 with the GWR rake was definitely the highlight in my opinion; I do enjoy seeing locos paired with authentic stock from time to time! I enjoyed watching your take of the climb past Hay Bridge, I spy myself on the left-hand corner too! I apologise if my positioning caused you any trouble, the lineside overgrowth didn't make getting a close range shot particularly easy! Brilliant video all round, thumbs up from me! @85ASteam not at all - good thing about that location is there are a few spots around the field that all come out lovely regardless so not any problem. Do agree with you about seeing the westerns back in maroon though - would make a lovely change (and look great with the crimson and cream rake at the svr!) @terrier_productions luck of the draw sometimes! As far as I know 75069 is normally a reliable runner. She returned to Bewdley and was sounding very unwell sadly

I caught that loco on the 20th of march my first time ever seeing that loco And the Severn valley railway is definitely new to her because she’s never been to the Severn valley railway before compared to her new build sister engine tornado she’s visited there a few times before
