How to make a base for Ikea TERTIAL Lamp (overhead mod)
I made an overhead phone holder mod using a TERTIAL Ikea lamp. In this video I will show you how to make a cement base for it, so you don't need to hook it to a table in order to use the lamp/phone holder.

this was amazing. The only thing missing was to move the needle to the back position and change out the plastic cover bit to the other one. My machine is fresh out of the box and I didn't understand those two points at first. Now I'm off to figure out why one thread is loose. But it sewed!

thanks for the guide, I didn't realise the upper looper driving clutch should be so low, I was in the wrong needle position so it was getting stuck
Honestly cheap Chinese ones come with both options a clip and a base, ikea is dumb
My machine will not make any Stitches at all
Mine either - I have rethreaded 10 times and still no results
Did you send it back?
Mine wouldn't either until I realized there are 5 different needle locations. The one used in this video is "behind" the far-right needle. Took me three days to figure that out. If you look carefully at the video at 6 minutes 14 seconds you can see her needle is in back.
