Ok so I live in Brittany and there are a lot of common roots with other Celtic regions, right? Anyways I'm researching bc of a tour I'll be giving and one thing leading to another, I needed to know how to pronounce "Llanferin". I stumbled upon this video and frankly people who say Breton names are weird are so weak and unprepared for the Welsh world.

Drychiolaethau....not drycholiaeth. The poem says ers talm, not ers talwm....necessary for the metre. Some wrong pronunciation too. Would be better if you got a native Welsh person to read it recite Hon correctly, with meaning.

I noticed that a lot of words that are feminine in Welsh are feminine in French as well, like y ddear/la terre I don't know if those words are actually related but they sound similar. And also abstract nouns or nouns made from verbs also tend to be feminine. I don't know why but they never taught us much grammar about masculine and feminine or mutations at school, I found out most of that myself from books. Please do more Welsh poetry and literature.

Better to do the plural right after the singular

A very interesting fact! In Romanian, *Shw'mai?* it is pronounced almost the same and means the same thing "How are things?" it is used to greet a known person and is pronounced the same as in Welsh. *Shw'mae?* in Welsh is... *Cum mai e?* , *Ce mai e?* or *Șe mai e?* In Romanian. the pronunciation is almost identical!

I feel so sad. I have came so far to learn Welsh. Zoom classes, translating stories, Duolingo, Welsh music but I am shy to practice as I can't pronounce LL. When I say milk it sounds like I am saying Slice

I like the Go.Go.Go in the end... 😊 PRONUNCIATION TIP (from a totally clueless person): Start saying LAN..and then rant on to wherever turn your tongue takes...till your tongue is out of option and then add GO, GO, GO and finish off with KSH for good measure.
