About the “WONKA” trailer…
มุมมอง 34ปีที่แล้ว
Reporting and blocking all comments saying Wonka killed those kids or that Grandpa Joe is the real villain (Not really but I do find it annoying lol). Also, in case anyone is curious, I don’t support Johnny Depp.

I don’t go very in depth when I talk about how much I liked/disliked the movies I own because that was not the point of the video. I might do that another day. I promise I have more things to say about these films beside “I liked it, good movie”.

I'm not sure what the song is called. Full movie available on BroadwayHD.
First time I heard his voice I thought, "like warm honey flowing over silk" - and it still is.
Such classics !
Bravo!
Marvelous , Bloody Marvelous !
Very well said
I hope I can influence my Niece to be this cool with a love of cool movies. At this point she is 4 and I’ve at least gotten her to love the Beetlejuice Animated Series
Whoever is responsible for you knowing all these great movies and scenes…👏👏👏
I’m starting to suspect a great taste in movies
I mean it, every one !
When this movie came out me and my best friend horror fan went to see it. Halfway in I wanted to walk out of the theatre and turned to him to try and make eye contact to signal for us to leave but he seemed to be watching the movie so I toughed it out. Turns out when we finished the movie and left he hated it and actually did the same thing we just managed to miss one another. Tonight we decided to try again and felt our own recourse was to break the curse and not finish the movie this time. Afterwards I said “ TH-cam the term Evil Dead 2013 Sucks “ maybe someone had a video that will make us feel better cause that person felt the same thing. Thank you. Now to thumbs up the rest of these videos out of appreciation.
@@bloodanddajugs Thank you! It’s not easy to find people who agree with me about this movie in horror spaces.
@@toomuchellison well you got at least two. My first big red flag was the makeup, you said it perfectly very Bland when Evil Dead , ED 2 and ED Army of Darkness all had awesome deadite makeup . Keep being awesome !

The Social Network was always one of my favourite DVD's. I like sets like that and David Fincher films always had the best supplements back in the day! How did you like Platoon? I always flip between Platoon and Full Metal Jacket as my favourite Vietnam movie. At the moment it's Full Metal Jacket 😎 Oh I love Gone Girl! It's quite high up on my list but I do have an obsession with David Fincher so...... 🤣 Cat cameo at 8:15 made my day! 😸😸😸 Have you seen Haunted Honeymoon with Gene Wilder? I watched that film about 50 times on VHS when I was a kid! Still get a kick out of it now! I agree with you about the campiness of horror! Think that's why it's my favourite genre!
Spot on rant! I totally agree. Modern horror films lack a soul, no pun intended. They think they have to follow the new nihilistic style of horror with no humour or nods to the audience. When Scream came out in 1996 and revitalized the genre, it brought that knowing wink that is something that was needed but these days it's been lost again in favour of bleak depression. Blood and gore in spades does not make a horror film! I think Evil Dead Rise tried to start to make things right but decided to go even further into the darkness. By the way, thanks for making up your bed for this video, it seems your cat appreciated it as well! 😸
@@BluRayDisplay Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I did actually like Evil Dead Rise, though. It was refreshing to see the same concepts finally leave that cabin, and with interesting characters. Yes, I liked the gore, but there was more to the film that’s enjoyable. Unlike Evil Dead.
@@toomuchellison No worries! I'm working my way through your collection videos now! Oh cool! Yes, that was quite refreshing and I enjoyed the family angle they were going for. I also liked the fact that they just killed nearly all of them and that did add to to tension because even the youngest sister could have died! When I said it goes further into the darkness I meant I just couldn't see what was going on! 🤣 Have a great day! 😎
The gentleman sings very soft and soulful like a jazz singer. But this is not opera.
Impossible de résister, n'est-ce pas ? Don Giovanni dans un exercice qu'il maîtrise à la perfection : la séduction manipulatrice. Quant à Peter Mattei, il est au-delà du talent imaginable !
I've had this on repeat for an entire week. What a gorgeous skill.
What a beautiful, beautiful voice. Peter Mattei, what a talent.
Beautiful! Is this what is called a “lyric” baritone?
18k views and only 391 "likes?" Probably all mesmerised by the sheer beauty of his baritone voice and his personification of once of the more challenging characters in opera.
He could definitely pull it off as a don juan. I mean, who could resist?
Good Collection
Thank You ! I've started to believe that i am alone with my opinion.
Good Job Review Rant so Enjoyed my Review
Fire the stoopid director! If THAT VOICE was singing on an Italian street every single window would be opened and filled with the faces of besotted women and envious but respectful men... Quale voce! As if only one young lady would bother listening! Opera directors have become SO AWFUL, in the Met and in the Paris Opera, that it is more rewarding and delightful to just listen to Peter and an accompanist. And don't get me started on the misogynist who directed the Met's "Barbiere..." with female extras dragging a heavy cart across the stage, and the other one who has the singers eating chicken on stage and crisps. NO RESPECT FOR THE VOICE.

NOW I KNOW WHY MY FLIGHTS TAKE FOREVERRRRRRR ... 🙃🙃🙃🙃
Beautiful sound, but seems weirdly over-dubbed here. Why?
I think it’s just slightly out of sync. The recording I got this video from wasn’t the highest of qualities.
@@toomuchellison , hey its, fine, I can hear the mandolier, and play along . Who is he?
Splendid sound, made even better by the effective ornamentation!
Delightful!!!
Che classe! Affascina, intriga, conquista! ❤️
i saw this performance live, it was a masterpiece to experience
Going to Paris tomorrow to see this on the 26th! Blessed!
Как же Вам повезло, это моя мечта услышать это вживую 🙏
I have just turned green as a "martian" all over with envy... Oh to hear Peter Mattei sing anything live, but "Deh vieni" and "Wintereise" live I might faint...have to carry a few canisters of Boost, LOL! Wow!
How BEAUTIFUL!
I could listen to Mr.Mattei sing this a thousand times.
Me too. It is, in fact, what I'm doing with this video. 😆
Brilliant, he is so good!

Pimpinela slayyyyyy
The film is supposed to be quite lighthearted but in this scene Gene Wilder succeeds in adding just a little genuinely convincing period creepiness to appeal to a wider audience. I would love to see the full film of The Scarecrow (1972) if anybody has a link (not currently on BroadwayHD).
Just as a heads up, someone uploaded the full thing on TH-cam recently - I think it should come up if you type The Scarecrow 1972 in the search bar :)
