Ultra Lightweight Toiletry essentials for backpacking and camping
A few more tips:
- Pack unscented items whenever possible
- Store scented items in a bear canister/bag along with your food
- I suggest limiting skincare with actives since we're exposed to harsher sun at higher elevations
- Wear SPF to avoid sunburn in the Fall and Winter as well
- Pack out all garbage (even if biodegradable)

Thank you for sharing! I love seeing how other backpackers go about skincare and hygiene! I am a skincare girly and one thing i learned by watching cosmetic chemist, Michelle Wong, is that transferring sunscreen from its original containor to another can actually degrade the sunsceeen faster and potentially decrease the efficacy and amount of protection it provides. Just wanted to share as this is something i used to do and only learmed about after hours and hours of deep research into this topic. Happy backpacking! ❤
