hi, thanks for liking video. Well, Prvić is most of the year under influence of strong currents and wind bura. Otherwise it is extremely nice experience. If you choose very peaceful day and your mom can do 25-30 km paddling, it is very much doable. Keep in mind few things: eastern side of island has NO cove/bay for making a break. You either paddle or float on the sea. There are nice beaches on western side but no shadow. Kayaking around Prvić means you are 100% times on sun, including breaks (only shadow you can have in afternoon if you are close to the cliffs on eastern side in late afternoon. :)). If you are beginner, maybe you should consider first circumnavigation of island Plavnik from ferry port Merag or Sv. Grgur from Lopar. If something go wrong, there are plenty of places to evacuate on land. But one rule is the same for any of those islands: if there is north-eastern wind (bura), don't go. Even if sea seems to be fairly calm. It is not worth the risk.

@@crobackpacker Thank you a lot for the advice! I wasn’t planning on kayaking around the whole island, i would just go to the big beach you were talking about and come back. I would manage to do it but just my mom isn’t that athletic however i think going from Baska to the beach will not be a problem.

@@encouragesolutions2595 well I'm not sure if it is possible due to lack of water on the way, probably it is possible with good planning. There is good few days hike from Wadi to Wadi across the mountains which I would love to do in future

Hi, it took me six days, but if I would do it again I would extend it to at least 10 days. So many nice places to stop, ride slowly and enjoy. I stop at camping in Pustkowo, wild camped in Wejherowo (official campsites were all closed), found cheap accommodation in Leba, hostel in Gdynia 2x and ride back to Hel, room in Krynica morska and that was all. :-)

@crobackpacker I cycled the R10 last year but only from Swinouscje to Hel. With.y UK cycling buddies but we had a deadline and I agree with you that we missed too many beautiful places along the way. I want to do it again but take longer. Thanks for the info.

@@mbrylewski you did most important and popular part. Great achievement! If you decide to do rest, just do separate trips around Tri cities and to Krynica morska. Rest of the trail is not really worth it in my opinion. :-)

It is amazing place, Kamp Zaglav is best experience of Lastovo...

Trail is very well marked because it is most popular LDT in Poland and thousands of people do it every year. I can recall only maybe one or two places in Beskid Niski where you are crossing huge field that for a moment I was not sure where to go next, but I heard that in meantime it got covered.

You are welcome. From what I remember there were none. It was on some parts very demanding in terms of stamina but technically it's easy trail. With fabulous views and nature. :-)

Well, it is possible but you need to be very careful and patient. Road is mostly gravel and not best on some places. I went with small saloon car so it should not be problem to you as well. :) I wish you amazing time there, i love that place!

It is Zaglav peninsula on Lastovo, west of town Uble. If you refer on the beach under the rocks, you can find it as small cove on open street maps between cape Cuf and cape Baški. (Could be written in Croatian, cape=RT).

If you refer on island at 3:54 it is Bratin otok islet. Actually just in front of before mentioned Zaglav peninsula. There is longer guide for Lastovo in this channel if you are interested. 😊

@@crobackpacker indeed, i will travel there after i've got some more experience on hiking in very cold winter temperatures which are possible to encounter higher at tatra mountains!

@@tuomaserkkila11 it is very good idea... Tatras are also great place to get some experience due to abundance of snow covered valleys, lover peaks and amazing mountain huts for staying overnight.

@@crobackpacker exactly, i see that tatras offer good opportunity to gain experience, but peaks can have demanding conditions. What month did you go there and was there many tamped paths and roads with low snow on your path?

@@tuomaserkkila11 i went early March. But it is solely because at that time finish school vacations for Polish children so there is much less crowds in Tatras than during January or February. Otherwise those months are better, less avalanche possibilities. If you are not experienced in winter hiking, western Tatras range is a great start. (Have footage from 50 km hike around them but not yet finalised in post production). Moreover, at this time some lower mountains in Poland offer amazing experience for winter hiking. Krakonose, Bieszczady or Beskid Żywiecki, just to name few. Feel free to contact me if you need advices which trail to take or anything else about it...

Mountain huts are open whole year and they must accept you whenever you arrive during the day. It is rule from Polish government. Just keep in mind that they are often overcrowded during weekend so reservation in front is advisable. You can use mapa-turysticzna app or page for planning. All huts are listed there. Now you got me motivation to speed up with English version of my travel website to provide such information as well. :-)

@@crobackpacker thanks for your swift reply! Is English (or German) spoken in the huts? My Polish is a bit non-existent. And is payment in huts possible both by card and cash?

@@Sjieperdepiep depends on hut... Most hut have younger staff and they speak good English. Most of them accept cards but not all...
