The Sower of Our Hearts
This morning we look at the parable of the sower and the seeds. We think about what Jesus is drawing our attention to in this story as well as consider that we are NOT the sower in the lesson.

Our Father- Change My Heart
มุมมอง 1414 วันที่ผ่านมา
It is easy to start to pray in a way that suggests prayer is for the purpose of fixing other people and circumstances to better "my" life. But when we read Jesus' words in Matthew 6 it seems to point us towards praying for God to fix us- the change the heart of the person praying- even changing their desire- instead.

What is "Love"?
มุมมอง 102 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sometimes it is difficult to understand what we mean when we talk about love. Either because of limits to the English language, personal experience, or conflicting definitions- sometimes we gloss over the call for us to love because we do not understand what it even means. This morning we read 1 Corinthians 13 and consider a picture of love in light of how God loves us.

Sin and the Lies We Believe
มุมมอง 133 หลายเดือนก่อน
We read Ephesians 1 and John 8 and this morning we talk about the multiple sources of brokenness in our lives. We consider why it matters to find freedom in truth and to avoid the lies we are told to distract us from our Father's voice.
Jesus Saves Us From More Than The Bad Things We Do
มุมมอง 24 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sin has become a word and idea that simply means the "bad" things we do and has become a source for shame rather than acknowledgement of how this world and life we know is not what God had intended for us. Today we talk about three ways of framing sin to consider the all encompassing salvation of how Jesus saves.
Discernment- Points Us Towards Christ
มุมมอง 24 หลายเดือนก่อน
Another tool we are offered to assist in discernment is to ask the question: "Does this point me towards God- towards something God adjacent- or towards something else?" It is perhaps the most subtle of the three discerning tools we have discussed. All these tools are helpful to discern when to listen and when to ignore- but they also help us our own efforts to speak in a way that is honoring t...
Discernment- Points Us Towards Unity
มุมมอง 144 หลายเดือนก่อน
Division is a common experience. We seem to exist in a world consumed with drawing lines in the sand and deciding who is "in" and who is "out". The church is not supposed to look like the rest of the world- rather than concern with creating groups and boundaries- Paul often points the church towards unity. But not uniformity, not universal approval- rather unity around Christ.
Jesus Teaches About Discernment
มุมมอง 64 หลายเดือนก่อน
It can be difficult to know when to listen and when to ignore the many voices we hear each day. Our instincts often tell us to examine the words and decipher who to listen to based on our agreement with the words. This however can be problematic. Jesus gives instruction to consider the source instead of simply examining the idea alone.

WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN You are born again when you are like Jesus. Then you are sinless 1 John 2: 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. We must be born again! Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!! To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart! A really born again Christian has no future sins!! He is perfect, righteous and the light of the world. Please study : 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 , Eph 5 and Titus 2:14! I’ll give you my testimony: 16 May 2011 , I asked Jesus in my heart. I was ill at the time. Overstrained or burne out and very restless. I then felt a vibration going through my body from my head to my toes. Immediately afterwards I became very calm. The next morning I was again very restless. This lasted about a week. I then had a dream that I lived in a prison. And a voice then said to me that the devil had to get out of me. I then prayed for the devil to leave me. Immediately afterwards I felt that same vibration from head to toe again and at the end of it a voice said: you are now free! and now start reading the bible. Suddenly I felt a lot of peace and love. I was changed from a sinful, selfish person to a born again Christian with a lot of love for the other. And experienced a lot of rest. When Jesus has made you free, you are free from sin and free from death. Afterwards my illness was the best thing that happened to me.
