Always a family tradition for us. Very sad to not be in San Marcos this year to see it. Always a beautiful event.
On target!
Mine sits all clean on top of my safe.😊
Nice video. Have a question, for TACAN, how do change the channel from 90 X to 90 Y?
😩😖😣
SWEET
Nothing but talent
Nicely done. Do you remember how you held the AC so steady? So unsteady and trim seems so out of reach.
hey Amy it's.me Kadden
Excellent IFR landing Bro...!
This Comanche Ready-to-fly is perhaps the finest plastic control line model EVER made. Beautiful, tough and with excellent flying performance, for a plastic model. Roy Cox really had a hit with this one. It was far from being a toy. It was not easy to fly and very sensitive to controls. A real man's model.
"Not always successful..." : ) A bit understated, but a worthy try, nonetheless.
How long were the lines and what were they made of?
Brian, what weather engine are you using?
Nicely done! You kept the AoA nailed perfectly, and the GS tight on target!
I both enjoyed watching it fly and was terrified at the same time. So few of those are left and they really were little detailed works of art. Even the harshest, purest C/L guys with their Noblers, Smoothies, Ringmasters, etc that dismissed cox as whirling hunks of plastic junk cannot dismiss the big beautiful cox comanche. You have permanently parked it for display now right?
This must be extremely bad on has.
No kidding! Yep it sure files beautifully, Its a big plane and its the first time I have seen one flying, thanks to u!. Lands without any problem, the engines sure loud. the cub you were flying in another vid sure made fast circles but this is very graceful. I like SLOW flying planes. I bought the cox sportsman for its looks, all cox engines are beautifully made and function just as well. I got a baby bee that I will convert to brushless, its a bad worn out engine.
It's a very neat plane and pretty easy to fly as it's slow in the circle and has lots of mass.
hey this thing powered by the cox sportsman engine .15? neat plane, its rare to see and a video of it on youtube, thats a plus, thanks for uploading, PS. I have a mint sportsman engine
WOW perfect landing, they would usually stumble upon landing, I guess you need to keep the elevator level
1977 A long damn time ago. The good news is, I didn't kill myself and still ride street and off road...
Hi! Really enjoyed watching these videos. You're a very skillful pilot and it's great to see the Cox planes flying so well. Many thanks for posting. I was fortunate to have had both a PT19 and Stuka when a teenager here in London.
Cool I'll have to try that with my Black Widow powered corrugated plastic wings :-)
I was 16 years old and the 250R Iam rideing here was a 1975-76 they came out that year white, but Istripped it and painted it solid Red.That year model rear shock set up really sucked but I still Loved my ride.Team Honda Blythe California. What great times we had.......
damn! how old is this!!!
MY BABY!
I know exactly where you were, I live 3 or 4 miles southwest of there. In fact, I just ate at that Panda Express last night. Nice video!!!
Hey, hadn't seen this one. Was this from your most recent ride @ DV?
