Wow, a roaring Corelli, but nonetheless convincing--and the opus 39 no 6! Absolutely breakneck speed, which I generally dislike, but completely convincing. This woman has changed my mind about so much.

Wenn man die Lisztsonate so gut verstanden hat und über lisztgleiche Pianistik verfügt kann man sich leisten, kein Übertreiben und keine Tempokarrikatur der Tempounterschiede zu dulden. Man muss als Interpret nicht immer alle verfügbaren Mittel einsetzen.

The speed demon has got her. She can’t control her technique. I say this as constructive criticism. Otherwise, Zlata is a stunning performer. I think here performance of the first Rachmaninoff sonata is one of the best - for which, I think, the greater use of her technical power was fitting. She needs to be more strategic with her technique - know when to hold back.

"allegro ma non tanto" is written in the score and thats the way Hough plays it. Only 26 likes when this is exactly what the composer had in mind, means most people prefer it played incorrectly.

I have seen Ben's performance of Ravel's piano concerto, played at age 12, and that was fantastic...he continues to amaze! Many times BRAVO! Great orchestra!

Thanks for sharing! I attended his recital last year, he was supposed to play prokofiev then, but changed the program. If you collect recordings by Hough, Grosvenor and other and make exchanges, please let me know!

This is Leighton's masterpiece among his piano solo works. When the late John McCabe played it in Germany an eminent musician came up to him and said "Why is this work not played everywhere, why is it not world famous?"

The best performance I've heard of this still-astonishing and iconic work. Hough makes it sound lyrical, not just harsh and percussive. Thanks so much for uploading!

Benjamin is a great pianist with a calm mind and a gentle soul. Insightful performance. His dynamics and technique are perfect and balanced. Phrasing is specious. I 'v listened to Ben's romantic and passionate Beethoven's 3rd Concerto, the one of a kind, natural and unique and was very grateful !!!

All the shimmering delights in Saint-Saens' enigmatic score were clearly displayed here. Sheer delight. Lovely to hear Sir Stephen's performance. I've only heard his compositions played by Seong-Jun CHO and Yunchan LIM previously. Thanks for the download

I never thought I would ever say too fast when it came to Rachmaninoff Piano Concertos but this really just goes by so fast your mind cant keep up. Impressive beyond words that he can play like that but for petes sakes stop and smell the Flowers Stephen, :)

So Hough has played other MacDowell pieces - wonderful. His recording of the Hexentanz is also wonderful.
