I love the bells, so important to also be able to hear where your dog is.
Brilliant video - thanks!
I did a one-day mountaineering course with Mick 30-odd years ago but I still remember him well. A great guy - always had a twinkle in his eye!
excellent dogs
I discovered your gey wonderful Book 'Mountain Walk' at my local Library, which incidentally was a first edition, and immediately fell in love with it, which is my go to book when life becomes overly oppressive or difficult. Thank you.
Awesome video, beautiful country. What lake is that at the end of the video?
I had the pleasure of meeting this delightful man yesterday whilst attending a talk he was giving 'Traversing The Atlas Mountains'. It was so interesting to hear him and watch his slide show. What a fascinating life he has had.
I wish that was longer - very good!
Fantastic philosophy!
A proper character. Regrettably, Robin passed away a few weeks ago.
Great message, wonderful video:)
Go caitlin!
A true inspiration. Vale Robin Campbell.
Mick ❤️ always x
Surely its easy to climb with climbing hooks. Alex holnold free solo film Hardest climb ever. Much harder
Jog on troll 👍
Drop by any Scottish Dry Tooling club event and you can see for yourself!
I have a young daughter (4 y/o) and hearing this young lady talk about how passionate she became as a result of her father taking her on a trip once is a very exciting thing to hear.
It was a bit confusing seeing MacLeods garage out of the blue. Good little film!
I also clicked on the video because I recognize it from the thumbnail 😂😂😂
Amazing. What a great film awesome message and well shot. Was great to meet you and we will be sure to get Bon to watch this. Sage advice for her. I hope you had a good run home.
Heavy's blog has been a favourite of mine for years. His stories are incredible A legend for sure
I walked and climbed with Hamish throughout the Atlas mountains over two or three years. He was an extraordinaray reminder of 'old school' exploration, before the advent of technology, gadgets and entitled expectation. We had some true adventures. As a consequence, he shaped my life and the experience and memories gained in those trips continue to guide me through, even today, over thirty years later. Thanks Hamish.
Robin, Jimmy & Paul…. great Scots pioneers. Well deserved Robin👏🏴
Top bloke Mick. Met him when he was a guide, instructing courses at the JSMTC Centres in Ballachuillish and Tulloch.
Great wee story and shared on X👍
Sounds like a top man👍🏴
Well said Mr McNeish.
'Hamish's Mountain Walk' the continuous walk over the Munros was a huge inspiration to me in the '80s. Thank you Hamish and this should have more views!
What a nicely shot and edited piece of material. It’s a pleasure watching the ever improving quality of the documentary film making you put out with your wife.
Looking well Heavy. Great film and captures you perfectly.
Tight Rope Heavy! Big hugs ol’ man 😜 Looking well.
This is brilliant, and definitely does highlight the real need and drive human inherently have (even if unknown to them) to be outside and feel the natural world
Yes Thank you Dave and Claire
The highlands are something else
Thanks Dave & Claire. Looking well Heavy.
Spectacular location and awesome short film.
Glad you enjoyed it!
A good man
A wonderful insight into a man and his mountains.
Absolutely, a very special man!
Love it.
Excellent! ❤
Fabulous climber and justifiable King of Ben Nevis!
What a great man your first book was inspirational. Thank you sir
Ecellent film, very well made. Just Noel, no other talking heads. Great job, Dave & Claire.
What a man totally inspiring
OLD PEOPLE FOOL😀😀😀
Shock horror...he's not English.
Well deserved award. I met Mick on a number of occasions up at the JSMTC centres in Scotland where he was instructing on various winter courses.
I read your book about the first continuous Munro trip, back in 1978. It was recommended to me by a friend as I had just become curious about the Scottish hills. It was inspiring, and I went on to complete the Munros and so much more besides because of it. I have walked, climbed, camped and cycled all over the Scottish highlands for the last 45 years - it is the most majestic place in the British Isles. Nowhere else comes close. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening the door.
What a great story about the boy.
Lovely man. i bumped into him once in Marrakesh and we spent a few hours looking around bookshops.
What a brilliant and modest man. I am deeply grateful to him and the many others who have fought for access to the land over many years. Walking the Scottish hills has been the greatest gift in my life.
Beautiful film.
