Great video, live the result from the ‘ball trimmer’ lol. Hey, I need to thank you, watching your videos gave me the confidence to ceramic coat my own car after a 13 stage prep. Apart from a few minor learning points it looks amazing! I didn’t think it would be possible to do on the drive way. All the best 👍🏼
@@basher1285 no need to thank me I’m glad you went for it! Curious to know your learning points! What products and coating did you use? What did you find went well and what did you have difficulty with?
@@DayOneDetailing I used Gyeon Evo MOHS with skin. I’m very amateur so the prep stages literally took days. The main issue was where I’ve over-lapped the coat and for some reason left a light brown stain or darker section on a panel, maybe not buffed off hard enough? Not massively obvious but I’m OCD so the next wash I give it I’ll polish that section and re-apply. Over all though it looks ridiculous! The reflection being black is incredible. I’m on the detailing world website which has been really helpful too. E3PSB.
Hi watched a few of your videos. Nothing wrong with giving an extra to a good customer. Helps cement the relationship.
Of course! I’ll always do what I can where I can when I can, especially for a customer booking multiple vehicles across multiple occasions 💪🏼 enjoying the videos then? ☺️
@@DayOneDetailing yes - informative.
That is brilliant🤣💪👍 love the mini
Mate the seats in the mini were lush! Very impressed! I’m not gonna lie the smart car really got to me while I was there it’s a lovely looking little motor, would love one with a powerful lump in it 😅 thanks for your comment 💪🏼
Have you driven one? Bet it's loads of fun🤔😯
Es posible hacer una corrección con pulidora rotativa sin dejar hologramas, es ideal para corrección de rayas profundas, y un segundo paso con pad blando y bajas revoluciones se corrigen los defectos del primer paso de pulido! Saludos desde Argentina!
I have tried many pads with varying softness & low speeds and I don’t think any combo has refined it out fully like a DA does, it can get close but never fully, it does help to do a medium refine with the rotary first before the DA but I’ll always finish out with the DA 💪🏼 but each to their own right, hello from the UK 🤝 hope your well
Absolutely killing it bro, subscribers will come trust me.🔥🔥
Thank you! I’m hoping so! Got a few cool videos lined up over the coming months, not just the VLOGS but some product vs product, reviews, in depth how to’s, some competitions between detailers, gonna be epic over Christmas!
Fantastic video bro and an amazing day!!! 💚
It was sick! Thoroughly enjoyed juggling videoing chatting eating and everything all together, thanks for having me mate the start of the takeover! 💪🏼💪🏼
nice of the cleaner to come out and see you ;-)...I thougt that was a Tea.
Cleaner? She’s owns the vehicle alongside her partner 👍 believe I had a nice cuppa or two that day 😁
Car is sparkling like new, paintwork going be popping in the sun , top job
A gazillion times better out in the sun, which is where obsidian black looks most special 👌
Wow you would think that was straight out of the factory , brilliant job 👍
Very nice car there, nice work too. Some of the German clear coats are rock hard aren't they? I've had good success in the past using Rupes Blue DA Coarse on a Rupes yellow wool pad, on harder paints you'd be surprised just how well that combo finishes down. It's good being a short cycle product too, makes for quicker work in a lot of cases, with less passes.👍
Thanks for the comment mate, will have a gander at your recommended combo! Not normally a fan of wool pads but always happy to try something new! 💪🏼 not all German clear coats are bad Porsche is like cheese, but obsidian black pre 20’s are just silly honestly
Whats the best to get rid of light scratch marks caused by cvnts brushing my car at the supermarket
what car is it? What colour? What have you tried so far if at all? Do you have any machine polishing experience? If none id start out trying a heavy cut compound and then refinement polish by hand (after washing the car at absolute minimum) and if no joy then get her fully decon’d and give the machine polisher a go, start with a single stage, maybe yellow rupes pad on a dual action machine with your chosen refinement polish (ideally cartec 9000 or menzerna 3500, or flex 2 step polish) see how you get on, in an ideal world would be good to measure the paint first with a gauge but I’d assume you don’t have one, 3-5 passes see how it looks, if no joy grab a heavy cut pad and 2 stage it instead, 3-5 passes for each stage (heavy then refinement) as you see me do in these videos on here - where are you based bud?
@@DayOneDetailing dravit grey. Never used a machine before. Thanks
That colour! The difference is insane..well done!
Black cars always look so good when properly maintained. Cracking work mate 👍
@@Mrmarriott2 thanks mate! I’ll only ever have a black car, nothing beats the gloss from them out of the sun and providing they’re swirl free look the nuts in the sun… people say they’re hard to keep clean but with a decent ceramic coating on them I’d disagree, thanks for the comment bud
What a stunning motor! Looks amazing!
Amazing job 👍 it looks insane on the video in reality probably looks even better😮
Never looks as good on video 🥹 thanks bud
Lovely car lovely job
Beautiful job done ✔️ 👏 👍
Thank you! 💕
WOW..! Top job that, how much would that cost? Where you based?
Thank you! I’m based in Essex but I travel the whole of the UK for the right job 💪🏼
Nice work. Came up lovely! I’m assuming that different makes of pads have different colour cutting levels? I’ve got a red pad that won’t cut at all but is used for polishing
Car looks amazing what compound did you use for the first stage
@@DaveBaldwin-i3b flex xtreme plus 👍 thank you!
Great work! Question, how comes you didn’t run the rotary attachment on the PXE 80 and then switch back over to the DA attachment? Either way looks fab! 🎉
Thank you! Because the rotary attachment on the pxe80 is only 1 inch in size, taking longer therefore to complete than with the 3 inch on the dedicated SPTA, also, I was being conscious of the battery on the pxe (I’m down to 1 batt atm) and given I was interchanging between the 2 throughout it doesn’t make sense time wise to keep changing over when I’ve got multiple machines at my sides. I also find sometimes it’s easier to get the best result on piano with the 3 inch head, personal preference in that sense. Although you can’t beat the pxe 1 inch rotary in areas like between the plastic grills on front bumpers, come into there own there.. you rocking a pxe too? 💪🏼
@@DayOneDetailing ahh I see! No brainer when running the 1 battery pack haha! Not atm bro, seriously considering snapping them up whilst their on offer, but tied between going for the New Rupes LHR15 MKV they’ve just released or the PXE 80 for the piano black trims and grills/plastics etc 🤔 mostly will depend on the price for the new rupes or if they put deals on the MK3 😬

Great video, would an APC do the same job on the door cards and dash?
@@basher1285 in theory, yes it would, however you must be careful as some APC’s can damage leathers and plastics as they’re a little too strong and not designed specially for that purpose, if your gonna use APC I’d recommend testing it somewhere first 👍 but my main advice is to use the dedicated product for it namely fresh interior for fabrics and plastics or leather cleanser on the leathers
‘Are you using rupes compound as in “Rup es”
Believe I was using flex & cartec compounds with a rupes pad, depending on which part of the world your in it’s pronounced differently in fairness 😅 heard Americans mostly say rup-es as you’ve suggested and brits saying ‘roopes’ 😅 one of those things I guess
Watched a couple of your vids and yes the tornador and the scrub pads are a god send, even though i do the same job i find by watching how others work that i can usually pick things out that i know would be useful to me going forward...liking youe style of voice overs...will you be doing an in depth vid on machine polishing? It's always nice to see how diff polishing pads react with the same compounds...subscribe and happy..thanks
Doesn’t matter if you’ve done it 6 minutes 6 weeks or 6 years there’s always something to learn from others 💪🏼💪🏼 glad you took something from myself matey! There will be an entire in depth series coming over the coming months dropping at the start of December, in depth how to’s on everything within detailing, including a very, very detailed post about machine polishing 👍 thanks for your comment mate
Lost me at the drill brush on the soft top.
@@Cloud-yp4eh why’s that then? Its not a stiff brush it’s relatively soft and curved allowing me to stay away from the edges which you’d want it to avoid, have used this method on probably 50-100 vehicles over the course of 6 years and results have always been flawless… well used method by professionals like myself for years now 😅
Great job there and useful info. I think the wrap protectors actually work quite well, so for a workhorse Porker they’re probably a good idea (vs simply a weekend car).
@@willardr100 thanks mate 👍 I would agree, a relatively cheap option for hiding stone chips and adding some protection, I’d have preferred colour matched but this is what the customer ordered and wanted to I installed them 💪🏼 a valid point you’ve made about a workhorse vs weekend vehicle indeed
