Same! Personally think it's amongst the best Series I SCPs.

Completely understandable. I'm trying to make it work somehow, and I think the normal sound quite all right, but interviews / dialogue suffers heavily.

All good, and I get it. I'm trying to use Elevenlabs to make it the 'best experience' possible, but it's not for everyone.

Lots of people seem to have a problem with it (I don't), but regardless of political opinion or anything, I'm a purist, and I think it's extremely important to portray the writer's vision as closely to the original as possible.

Why not just use they/their? Why complicate things?

@@john5243 It's what the writer used in their article. I agree that they/their would probably have been easier. But again, I try to be as close to the original as possible in these narrations.

Feel you on that one, tbh. I tried narrating them myself, but my voice isn't made for narrations unfortunately (at least that's what a lot of comments say). So I'm trying to bypass it via Elevenlabs, and give of a (mostly) satisfying result. I'd love to employ real narrators, but it's not something I can afford at the moment. But I plan on if the channel should get monetized, and especially for the bigger 001-proposals etc.

@@scp.foundation.videosimo if you need to use TTS, use the robotic one that doesn’t try to be human. It is more bearable and is more immersive (as though a researcher is getting the SCP narrated while working on another project) Also you seem to have swapped priorities, when narrating yourself you sound like your trying to be robotic, but when using tts it’s trying to be human

You should slow down the voice a little bit. It will make your videos just a bit longer and easier to listen too at length

@@gursavakhsingh4936 Thanks for the feedback! Still new to working with Elevenlabs. Will have to see how to slow it down in creation, I noticed myself that it's rather fast-paced. But I'm sure to figure it out!

Thanks for the feedback. I've still got some pre-recorded videos (until SCP-120), but as you said, my voice might not really be fit for narrations.

@@scp.foundation.videos I m not saying it with bad intent buddy and you should continue doing what you're doing. Maybe if you do some voice exercises and have a little less stress you can make it. I hope you continue if you like doing videos 🙏🙏🙏

@@chrisandreadakis4217 Ah, tbh. It was more or less a side-project. I narrated some of my own stories, as well as SCPs, and decided to try my luck at an SCP channel. But tbh I'm not sure if I have the time (and skill) to keep going / improving markedly here. I'm a writer by day, so I'd rather focus on novels / novellas.

lol that actually made me laugh, but nah, I guess my voice just isn't a good fit for narrations, and I'm probably over-editing it in Audacity. I really like narrating, and I'd love to keep doing it, but it might just not be my thing.
