By completion of medical school training does it mean i should have graduated, or is it fine as long as i completed my final exams and know im graduating in a month like october. (I finished in april but our graduation is in october, does that mean ill be withdrawn from the application process?). Im abit confused ecen after watching the video before this.

Hi dear pls I’m in a bit of a dilemma I attended a medical university that’s in the country where I can use a PMQ but it’s dated two years back so I know I would need to write IElts to register for plab according to GMC but I am not sure if I can use it for UKFPO to check my eligibility although it didn’t say anything about two years timeline on their website.. what do you think please I need help

Hello doc do you know if we can take the OSR between 3rd -23rd July ? They had first stated that they needed the English results before the “start” of the eligibility window , this information has now been replaced with “UKFPO must be able to view/verify the final result on the IELTS verification portal”.

Do you know if we can take IELTS on paper and if we dont get one, can we take one skill retake on computer as they only accept one skill retake for computer?

Hey! I know exactly how you feel. I've been wanting to get into the FP for the past year and have given the English exams multiple times but never ended up getting the required score in writing. In my opinion these tests are quite subjective and results can vary based on different factors, including luck. It's painful and it absolutely sucks. I sort of started to shift my career plans because I've spent way too much money, time and effort on these exams. But you should hang in there! Give it another go, you can do this! And regardless of what happens, you'll always be a doctor. Don't let these English exams define your capabilities as a healthcare professional. Good luck! <3

I was in the same situation last year when I applied for the UKFPO. I took OET like three times, the highest score in writing was 390. I didn't like IELTS either, but I had to take it as the deadline was approaching and it was faster to get a place and results in IELTs. It was also cheaper. I only had two weeks left until the deadline, so what I ended up doing was booking several IELTs, day after day, as I felt that the writing score depended a lot on luck. I felt it was easier to get 7.5 in IELTs writing than 400 in OET. I got 7.5 twice in writing of IELTs (once in academic and once in general), but in one of them my speaking score was 7, so I had to take the test again. I finally got 7.5 in Ielts writing and other domains, after three attempts of IELTs. I followed the TH-cam channel IELTs advantage. My advice is to give the academic IELTs try. Don't rely on the OET, especially since they take a while to issue the results. Hope this gives you some hope. All the best!

Yeah I really don’t know why UKFPO can’t accept PTE. A lot of people say PTE is genuine and it’s easier. I tried IELTS 4 times and it didn’t work for me. I always get 7. I tried OET in that also I got 320 recently. I am really disappointed. I am planning to apply for July eligibility as well😢

I wish the UKFPO could reduce the scores required for at least the writing section, that would help a lot of students aspiring for the foundation program. I wish you luck in your next test 💙.

I felt like you are reading my mind. I’m in the same boat Angel😢. I finished my Plab exams and everything and still stuck with this OET for foundation. I used Benchmark but I don’t think it helped me as they marked me higher than what I get in the real exam. I just don’t know what else to do. Feel depressed sometimes. I consistently getting 380 for writing and I’m not sure where I’m lacking this 2 points to get that 400. Also just to let you know remarking didn’t change my score for writing either😞. Thank you for sharing your experience as it helps a lot to know that there are others in the same situation. Appreciate it❤
