A buggy ride out to the Eagles Nest, looking out over the Grand Manan Channel, on the Western side of Grand Manan Island.

Thank you so much for this video. I was born in Nova Scotia and was sent to the Island around 6 weeks old. The rest of my family moved there a few weeks later. When I arrived at the Island, I lived with the Swallowtail lighthouse keepers. They would also "babysit" me and my sister quite regularly. We lived on the Island until I was 5 or 6 yrs old. I spent many hours playing around the lighthouse grounds. I feel such a connection with that area. Life has taken me many places to live throughout the United States. I currently live in the state of Indiana. I really appreciate you taking this video. I brought back so many memories.

I've been back to visit a few times and in July of 2026, all my siblings, along with my kids and grandkids will be returning for a visit. We are really looking forward to this visit. @@scottfreeth

I was one of the guys on the concrete crew that went over to lay the concrete for the hockey rink I got there on a wed and left saturday iam from p e I and I loved it there I was the last one to leave we stayed in a motel besides a place you could go have a drink and food .I would get up way before we would have to go to work so I could get some pictures and just have coffee and watch the water.my family and uncles,father all were fisherman.my dad passed away when I was 12 out on the water,30 miles off north Cape, I guess about 5 years later I got into the building and concrete .I was happy to get the opportunity to see your beautiful island

It was great but it missed all of Seal Cove, the best beach on the island and there were a few other spots missing. I noticed of course being born an islander that's all...over all great footage. :)
