I’m so excited to dress up in the US for Lunar New Year! Unfortunately, I cannot be with my family for the holiday (live far away from them), but I decided to dress up for work (boss approved because I wear scrubs for work😄). I’m going to embrace my culture and cook a traditional Vietnamese dish to share with my colleagues! They are so excited when I told them my plans to celebrate with my work family! My husband said “Won’t you feel weird that you will be the only one dressed up?!” Me: “No! I embrace my heritage and will make my family proud!” I bought two dresses on Etsy (my go to place) - one modern style (pink with lotus flowers) and one traditional (white with assorted multi-colored flowers - all other colors were sold out😢). I can’t wait to try them on and test out my makeup and hair to see which look I want to wear. Although, I’m really leaning towards the traditional style. I’m envisioning half updo with curled hair, lots of volume, and beautiful artificial flowers in the hair. Since we are celebrating the arrival of spring, I want to be a spring fairy! 😂❤
