I read if it’s the drivers side you can take battery out and get access. As well. Not sure it’s true
Brian, did you end up changing out the footwell bulbs?
Our 2014 Terrain didn't come with footwell lights unfortunately. I am planning on installing some aftermarket rgb ones though.
i cant get my bulb cap back on for my low beams any tips?
I wasn't able to get mine on either due to the length of the bulbs. I had thought moisture in the headlights would be an issue, but I have yet to get any inside them (knock on wood.) Probably better with them off anyways that way the heat from the bulbs can dissipate and not stay trapped inside the headlight assembly.
I did the larger 921 led for the rear hatch, larger area plus with rear open the extra lumens helps ground illumination.
FYI you can get through the wheel well. There's a cap for the bulbs there.just form the wheel out.
Our 2014 Terrain doesn't have an access cap in the wheel well. Really wish it did though, would have made it a lot easier to change the bulbs.
Are the outside of the mirrors lights, running lights?
Outside the mirror is a very bright white led reverse light, it's the only thing you need to run a wire for. Inside the mirror is a turn signal light and defrost that connects to a wiring harness in the door.
Love this thank you
Thanks for sharing, very helpful
Good job, thanks for sharing
i was surprised you would go with white light for the turn signals most are yellow as per road regulations
I considered getting some switchback bulbs that change to yellow when flashing then back to white. They are considerably more expensive than the ones I purchased though, so I just went with the white bulbs. They have held up well, but I am probably going to get an aftermarket headlight assembly that has built-in switchback halo lights in the near future.
Watching paint dry during a root canal.....
Was actually going for 'Watching Water Boil During A Colonoscopy', but you got it close enough.😄 Seriously though I am trying to improve my video editing skills and looking back I could've trimmed the fat a little more on this video. Hope you were still able to gain some value from it though.
You didn't put the cap back on?! I put mine back on wrong and got moisture in it, had to take the whole headlight out 😮💨😮💨. Did you have the same issue?
I actually never put the caps back on, because they wouldn't fit over the led bulbs I used. I guess the bulbs must just have good seals, because I haven't got moisture inside the headlights yet and they've been in about a year. It could be your headlight assembly had a leak around the lens or something.
You should lowered the window ??? LOL !
Yeah, I did end up lowering it when I did the passenger side, but I didn't record it to save time. Live and learn I guess lol.
@@brianburris7400 Did replaced mine on my 2008 and after i watched somuch video , i consider my self a PRO ! ;)
Did yours also come with purple wires what would that be used for?
@@anthonyarnone8135 hi , oh I am so sorry I don’t remember, was mostly plug and play
@ I appreciate you getting back to me. I ended up having to wire them with a bunch of separate other wires and switches, but for the blinker wise, they were plug-in play and the heater wise they were plug-in play but for lighting everything had to be wired.
Hey do you have the part number or name of those exact tow mirrors, I have the same truck and would like to install them but I am having a hard time finding them. Wanted to know where you got them from? Thanks
The brand I got was YITAMOTOR model MR-012-xS1y from Amazon.com. There's a chrome and black version as well. I got links to them in the video description.
Thanks appreciate the help
Hey bro, you are really doing great on installation stuff. I am a vehicle lights seller and I have nice fog lights for you. Could you give me an email address or FB page where I can contact you? Hope you could give me a chance, thank you!
