My channel will be an interesting mix of my bikes, cars and other fixes/repairs to consumer goods.
Autotrail Truma Heater Rattle Fix (Apache 700 2016)
Lived with a rattling Truma heater for 18 months. Enough was enough.
It had been built incorrectly with the gas heater section fitted too far back contacting the electrical heater element. If you look at the tin shroud there are two ears that should be bent at 90°. These set the correct spacing for the gas unit from the electrical element. In this example one was bent correctly, the other at about 60°. This allowed the gas part to be fitted too far back.
As the 5 big self tapping screws had made big holes in the wooden plinth I could not bring the gas part forward by 2 or 3mm that was needed.
Eventually fitted two M10 washers underneath the unit on the back two fixings. This tilted the gas part forward, away from the electrical element.
Job done, no rattles!

This is a quick overview on the Hopwinn 200W portable solar panel. Exceeded expectations. Needed an Anderson 600V/30A to DC7909 conversion cable for the Bluetti (£12 Amazon). Thank you for your review. I actually bought two of these from a reseller in Germany for around 100 Euros. I consider it a great deal. My problem though is it what kind of cable would be necessary to be able to connect it to an inverter to charge a battery? I would be grateful for your guidance
I would look for a Victron MPPT charge controller. You would really need to run the two panels you have in parallel to keep the output voltage sensible. Probably something like thE 75/15 should work. Please do your own research though 👍
Do you know how much oil needs to be put back in given if it was repairable. I have one that I opened up to fix a leak and the oil is awful. I don’t know how much new oil to put in?
