Sup! Thanks, (It's a bit of a long answer...) I'm worried about S5 because, if I'm being honest, S5's animation is atrocious, the writing of the characters is bad, the voice actors sound like they are having a rough time and I am now worried about them, the understanding of JTTW characters and important magical items from that story is not good, the plot is a letdown and the writers allow it to interfere with the way the characters are written, and the ending is just... no. It's like someone is trying to kill the show from the inside out and pass it off as 'butthesiswhatthepeoplewanted'. It's just a shell left. The soul has gone. So yeah. :l I'm still hoping for one redeeming quality in the season, but haven't found one yet.

@RazzleDazzl3 Wow....that's a lot. I'm gonna have to disagree, but I do respect your opinions. The animation was an obvious downgrade, I'll agree with you there. But everything else was amazing, at least in my opinion. I think the writing was the same if not better than the other seasons. I think some people have an issue with the villain, but I think most, including me, think he was nice. The plot was genuinely amazing, I really loved MK's descent into depression. And that Wukong and MK fight was a chef's kiss, in the writing and voice acting department at least. Speaking of voice acting, you have to agree Sean Schemmel channeled his inner Goku for this one. Showed us that he's not just here for a reference. Especially that fight scene! Jack De Sena was also amazing, could really feel the pain in MK's voice. I'm not a JTTW fanatic, but I've read a few chapters. Has the show really ever taken JTTW items as they are in the book? They do sometimes but for the most part, they've always added their creative spin on it. An obvious example would be the Samadhi fire. Couldn't be more different than it is in the book. The brotherhood also comes to mind, LBD, Ginseng Fruits (those little troublemaking babies back in season 1, that one just threw away the script), the scroll of memory, the furnace that was used to burn Wukong alive was repurposed to make an antidote for spider Queen's venom 😂 This show is and always has been the embodiment of 'nah, imma do my own thing' and that's one of the things that make it so special! A trailer or sets could be released and you'll recognize a few items from the book and Chinese mythology in general, but bless your heart if you think you can use that to guess what's going on, cuz you're definitely gonna be off. They be using magic up in that writer's room 😂 I think about all the characters were written on point. MK, Wukong, Mei, Redson. The only one I can 100% agree with you on is Maq. I felt betrayed by the way he acted this season, because it felt like they gave his overly dramatic side to Snakey Boi. I think there can be room for 2 dramatic anti heroes/villains, just give me back my MacBook 🥲. I do get that most of the way he acted this season was necessary, but a lil more sassyness would have been nice. I don't know the true reason for the animation change, but some corporate BS wasn't not involved. But I think it's important to know that no matter the reason, everyone was on a time crunch, even corporate. They needed to get the season out along with the sets and the quickest way to do that was by rigging, unfortunately....😭. I still think the VAs and the writers made up for the lost soul this season. Put their heart into it and despite the obstacles still came out on top! I'm not trying to change your opinion (okay, maybe I am, just a tiny bit 😅). It's okay to not like how things turned out. I'm too embarrassed to tell you how I reacted to the news of the studio changing (I looked like a family member died 😅). But having watched it the first time, I threw that prejudice away! And like the other the seasons, I can't stop rewatching it (yes I have an LMK addiction and I'll die before I seek rehab!) Especially episode 7, that flashback of Wukong am stabbing macaque in the eye always gives me goosebumps, despite the simplistic nature of the scene. I really want to know what happened to the brothers! Ironic that I said what you wrote is a lot and here I am with my great wall of text. Sorry bout that, it's just I love expressing myself about the stuff I'm interested in.
