Short Eared Owls imaged on Nov 16 2024. Clinton County Illinois

Here is a Northern Harrier Hawk harassing the ducks at Riverlands Bird Sanctuary. Captured on Nov 11 2024. These guys are tricky to image due to their erratic and fast flight.

I happened to catch this GHO at sunset sitting across the field from my front porch. This is handheld video. I plan to keep an eye out for additional sightings so I can use the tripod in the future.

This is a probable Clark's Grebe filmed by my daughter Kara Hollansworth on Oct 7 2024 at Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary West Alton Missouri. I believe this is the first ever sighting of a Clark's Grebe anywhere in this region. An extremely rare find!
