😂Please don’t get yourself in trouble for taking too long of a break on my account, Holly! Haha! I’d love to see you at one of these! I think the next one is the first Sat in Nov, I can’t co-host because I’m having minor surgery (everything is fine btw) but Melissa is co hosting with Char Hamilton aka @blueshineart and they’re going to do live portraits. So it’ll be different than the usual Free Draw Friendzy format like we have been doing, but one where you draw each other live, and whoever is in the meeting and willing to volunteer to sit still and model for everyone else (God bless them!) If that tickles your fancy, I’m sure @melissamartinart will be posting the link to register within the next week or so! I also do some live drawing meets on my discord (link is in the description box) if you wanna join. We’re actually doing self portraits tonight at 7pm EST and everyone there is so kind and sweet. It’s always a really nice get together☺️

I imagine one day I’ll have the time to attend all the livestreams and drawing get togethers (maybe when our kids move out?) but until then we have the replays👍😉And at least you know if you’re not there and we start talking about you, it’ll be all good things😂

I knew how from doing the Draw Weird Things videos but that portion took a good hour to edit😝because of all the jumping back and forth 😅😂

EXACTLY!!! This video is from Last year. I read it without any clue only knowing it was marketed as “romance” and spooky. I think I made it about 20% before tossing in the recycle bin. Once there was assualt and as a Jew I felt the antisemitism among other gross conspiracy theorist junk. It is an abomination. Makes me very sad that so many women raved about this book. Even if it’s just for “fantasy” these are very disturbing. Not shaming people, just concerned about them😟

@@sketchbookscheming At least we can go back and add her! I did later. I was not having Quick Draw McDeb day, and I had to sacrifice drawing so many cute things too! I picked most of the photos, Melissa added a couple extra 😁 and she sets up the slides and the timers so it’s always a surprise what she’ll put together. I was hoping the scratch and sniff stickers would be able to make the cut for me but I had barely enough time to draw glow worm. It’s hard for me to talk and draw fast. If only I didn’t talk so much😂I’m a nervous talker!🫣🫠

@@debbiedrawsfunny I'm not too speedy and just focused on one each time. I don't remember the glow worm from back in the day -- weird. Scratch and sniff stickers were definitely fun though 😃. I'm the opposite of a nervous talker. If I am nervous, you won't hear a peep, ha ha.

I still have my sticker book with some scratch and sniffs somewhere around here, believe it or not ;) I wish I could shut my trap, I can if I'm not the host, but when no one talks, I panic and think they're not having fun which is so dumb, everyone is just busy drawing! haha!

Haha! I can't help you with any of that I'm afraid- I quickly abandoned the book when it got too disturbing for me and I felt some real mild antisemetic/qanon tones. It went into the recycling bin 20% in!

But once I inked the books I thought just maaaaayyyybbeeeee it’ll work! I’m glad it did!😮‍💨

Thanks so much, Brian! I used to vlog a lot a couple years ago when I started the channel (there’s a bunch in the archives) but they weren’t really watched. I just considered it keeping a visual journal of my art at the time. I just assumed people found my vlogs to be dull😂I saw your vlog recently and I can’t remember if I left a comment or not? But it was great!😊 it was the one where you got that gorgeous mail with the beautiful drawings on the envelope! You “frolfed” (is that how you spell it?) I didn’t even know there were actual Frolf courses, so I learned something new! And o breathed a sigh of relief when I finished that painting, I felt like the pressure was really on to make something special 😅and it warmed my heart that it was well received, especially since hurricanes are happening😳 By the way, thank you so much for your order! It just went out today! I hope you finally got around to watching Beetlejuice😜

Yes they’re so fun! I didn’t really get what all the fuss was about when I first got them and thought they’re overpriced fancy crayons. But then after a while I was in love!

Great minds think alike! I think I did it on the 16th?? It was great way to keep me busy while waiting for the car to be ready!

Big polydactyl cat paws are my weakness! Oh, and that wasn't all done in one day! The owl sketches, yes, but the painting was done a few days later. I am definitely not super woman!

😅Well, I definitely have a sketchbook habit, Holly, I need an intervention!🤓but I think the real “secret” is I’ve also been joining (and hosting and filming) a lot of drawing livestreams and drawing session videos and the art made during those take up a LOT of sketchbook spreads for sure! I think the other night I used up 12 pages on a Patreon livestream. I’d never get through a sketchbook this size this quickly without that!

@debbiedrawsfunny You really excel at those live streams, tho! I could never do one since a big part of my vocabulary is "um..." and "uh..."☺️

Thank you so much, Teresa! And I must say, the Art Creations are fun to work in because the paper is kinda cheap so it frees me to “waste” pages and make “bad art” without feeling any regrets! But it also is fairly inexpensive for 160 pages at $10 USD. The problem I forgot to mention with this one is the paper as you said, soaks up most of the color AND it cost me $20 USD because it was coming from England. I highly doubt I’d bother with it again. Twice the cost and not as good? No thanks!🙂‍↔️
