In the Aztec mythology, legend tells of how Coyolxauhqui, Goddess of the Moon, attempts to kill the unborn child of her mother, Coatlicue, for considering it a bastard.
Along with her 400 brothers, the Centzon Huitznahuac, she attacks Coatlicue only to be defeated by her newly born son, Huitzilopochtli, the Rising Sun and God of the War.
