Fast food here pays the same as entry level techs. AC/heat, no experience, no skills, no tools to buy, no education, nothing needed, same pay. The industry needs to realize that being a mechanic is a professional career job and needs to pay as such. Shops keep raising their prices, up charging parts more and more, charging for diag time that they never use to, but hardly any of it gets paid to the mechanics. Ownership and management take it all. And on top of all that you have to invest 10s of thousands of dollars in tools and continuously educate yourself, and you get screwed with the flat rate pay system. Don't bother, the shops don't support their labor pool. Put all that time, energy and money into a better paying career.

It's about a month now since this shocking school shooting that ended 3 lives and injured 6 more. Isn't it about time that Madison Police and WMTV give the public more of an update than, "Police say they continue to investigate." as they did at 0:12 in this video? For example, let's go over what is known about the guns used to carry out this shooting. Chief Shon Barnes already told WISN on 12/22 that the two firearms which Natalie Rupnow brought to this school were purchased legally. We also know that CNN cited an unnamed law enforcement source when reporting that a 9mm pistol was the only weapon used in this shooting. This means that, reportedly, the gun that Rupnow used to carry out the Abundant Life Christian School Shooting on 12/16 was a legally purchased 9mm pistol. Can WMTV and other media companies continue to ask Chief Barnes whether Jeffrey Rupnow is the person who legally purchased that 9mm pistol that was used to kill 3 people and injure 6 others in this school shooting? That is a basic question, did her father buy this gun? It honestly shouldn't take a month for police to publicly answer basic questions like that related to any school shooting. Also, if Police Chief Barnes can't answer basic questions like this a month after a Madison school shooting, then how could he possibly be able to lead a 3X bigger police department in Seattle? Does Seattle Police Department want a police chief who can't answer basic questions about how kids get access to guns and shoot up their schools? Why is MNTV reporting on a search for a motive, when Madison Police haven't even confirmed basic facts, like who purchased the weapon that Natalie Rupnow used in this shooting?

Here, I hope what this means is that police continue to investigate all those known to be in contact with the shooter, Natalie Rupnow, including 20-year-old Alexander Paffendorf from the San Diego area, as a way to consider all possible motivations for what occurred. Carlsbad Police already revealed on 12/17, on the day after the Madison school shooting, that Paffendorf was previously in contact with Rupnow and, according to Officer Daniel Norton of the Carlsbad PD, Paffendorf admitted to FBI agents that he told Rupnow he would attack a government building with explosives and a gun. It may be significant that Carlsbad Police and the FBI agents working out of their San Diego office chose to obtain a Gun Violence Emergency Protection or from Judge Laura Duffy, who is a former prosecutor who handled a notorious 2008 bombing of the Edward J Schwartz Federal Courthouse. Using Judge Duffy to get the protective order may suggest that police chose her because of her expertise in a bombing case that had some similarities to the one they were currently investigating. Two Questions: 1. Could those similarities (in Duffy's prior experience and Paffendorf's plot) have included targeting the same government building in San Diego? 2. If so, could Paffendorf have been planning his attack as a response for something that was scheduled to occur at this San Diego Federal Courthouse, say in the same week that Rupnow carried out her attack on Monday, 12/16, at her school in Madison, so in the court week ending on Friday, 12/20? If Madison Police and the FBI are considering all possible motivations for what occurred, then they should look into this possibility and be able to answer the questions posed above.
