Good to learn that the special alertness to everything during a walk is a breed thing, as our 8-month-old female parti is reacting to *everything*. She becomes an anchor when scared, sitting like a statue rather than flinching or jumping. It is both frustrating and hilarious. I’ve learned to walk her in a circle like a horse to break the spell and get her moving again. We’ve already seen growth in this area in the few weeks we’ve had her, but it was good to see Roo noticing just as much as Ruby.

I can't get my 5 week old puppies to drink water... they still try to nurse, I tried beef broth ( no luck) formula, and wet food..I'm running out of ideas . Help!?

Beautiful garden! Busy bees! And pear, peach and apricot trees! Wow! And apple and fig! All manner of vegies! And berries. My goodness! Yes pretty flowers! Ooo do I wish I could get one poodle! But am elderly. Will pray for new owners. GREAT price! For a fabulous, healthy, beautiful, well trained poodle! Wow.

I cannot say enough positives about Teresa from High Mountain Standards and her puppies. I found Teresa from an internet search for standard poodles after my boy Bubba died suddenly from an autoimmune disorder. I have had 3 other standards that passed and one current 9 year old standard. My search of standard poodle breeders with current litters led me to several breeders throughout the western states, but Teresa was by far the most knowledgeable about standards and their personalities. None of the other breeders showed the care and attention that Teresa did. I texted her often to discuss 5 of the puppy’s temperaments (after obsessively watching Teresa’s puppy videos), and she was very responsive, and honest, she helped me pick my perfect boy. If you haven’t checked out her videos of her puppies please do so. Teresa makes videos, sometimes daily of each puppy in training. She spends a good deal of time training the puppies which I have yet to find another breeder that does. I picked up Charlie/Tulum (new name) at 9 weeks on July 5, 2024 and he was pretty much potty trained already. He is spunky yet calm and very snuggly. The perfect standard poodle. I highly recommend this breeder and her pups, 5 stars.

You have THE BEST poodles and it’s easy to see why…you put so much time and effort into your program & you care so much.❤ You have blessed our family tremendously because of your amazing poodle program. We absolutely love our 4 amazing pups (2 from Breezy and 2 from Rose). All are gorgeous, intelligent, sweet, play hard outside, calm inside. So many compliments on them always. If anyone is looking for a standard poodle puppy, the few you have remaining from Rose’s recent litter (the cute pups calmly listening to you during story time in the video) should be scooped up NOW! They are the best because tons of love, attention, and training goes into these lil ones even before they open their eyes and doesn’t stop. Y’all-it’s amazing the difference in Teresa’s poodles with High Mesa Standards! ❤️🐩🐩🐩🐩❤️
