Hey girl, welcome to my city. i love Chicago, born and raised
Been here all my life you need a car. When it gets cold outside the bus drivers stop showing up and a 15 min drive will take an 1 hr 30 with cta
Such a good idea!
I love Chicago Illinois, weed is legal.. houses and apartments are very affordable.. jobs pay way more money 👌🏽
True dat! 😋
Ok, why nobodys talking about how beautiful mom and daugther are?
Youre too sweet. Thx for the love
Parking is a con!!!
It's amazing how much more community there is in a walkable city. Car centric cities feel so isolating.
You're absolutely right. It's a huge factor in quality of life!
HELLO do you have any recommendation really thinking of moving there but my income is low
Sure thing. Check out this video I have about affordability here: th-cam.com/video/hzsVvbSBgJY/w-d-xo.html
I'm considering relocating
Hey! You should if you feel it's right! Sometimes talking that leap can be worth it and pay off. Chicago is great!☺ Good luck
@chismprism I think I'm ready 😵💫 I live in a more rural area, and the job market is different here. There are fewer design jobs, and design is primarily used in industrial fields. The work tends to focus more on manufacturing, B2B presentations, AutoCAD drawings, and instructional design. Lol I'm yapping
Yeah outside the city its more factory type industries. Either getting a remote opportunity or relocating near the city should help
I should be moving to Chicago this year if all goes right (I get my remote job), thank you for your video! Your delivery is really good too.
Good luck with remote job switch! You'll love it here! Thanks for watching
I can’t wait to move to Chicago from New York next month
Good luck on your move!
i think i love chicago
It's hard not too lol
Living in various regions, countries, and cities beyond your bubble is eye-opening. There isn't one neighborhood, region, town, city, state, or country that can overcome a negative reputation at the forefront. If you just report the crime data and negativity from any place it will forge a negative image of said place.
Youre totally right. The news media only seems to push the negative for views
Amén! I split my time between my hometown of CHI and my work in LA. I looooove coming home to CHI so I can walk everywhere, see the city, hear the people, smell the food, truly absorb the great city of Chicago. Best City in the World!
I feel you on that - Chicago's energy is unmatched. Thx for sharing
Chicagans❤
The new name of this company is IYOVIA. They have rebranded. I was with them for a year. Left in Dec 2024 and also got burnt xx
Crazy! This company keeps jumping around lol
I've lived in a 3-flay brownstone and courtyard buildings as well. I found both well insulated, rarely heard my neighbors and had beautiful original wood floors and occasionally, built in bookshelves and cabinets. I usually had to do some insulating on the wooden windows, but all-in-all, it was worth it. Chicago architecture is so unique, I can spot it on "House Hunters" without even seeing where the episode takes place.
I feel you Chicago's unique architecture does truly stands out. Thanks for sharing!
@chismprism Thanks! Chicago's going to be running into bad press for the next several years +, but it's a great city and Illinois is a great place to live.
You are so brave. I just quit my corporate job of 10 years this past June and am going for it
You're brave too for follow what feels best for you! Wishing you the best for your journey. Happy new year
@ happy new year 🙏💖✨
IML STOLE FOREX NAME USE THE IDEA OF FOREX NAME TO PITCH THERE SCAMS 👌🏾 EVERY SINCE 2018 BUT IF YOU HAD REAL TRADER IN YOUR GROUP YOU WAS LUCKY 🍀
Thats crazy I didn't even know lol
My dad was born and Chicago and lived there for 9 years. I like Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland and San José better because I like the ocean. Chicago has too much drinking . This is why I won’t live in Chicago.
I can't deny the midwest folks know how to drink😅
@@chismprism That's a huge difference between the Midwest and the West Coast. The West Coast has more of a culture of health and fitness than the Midwest and that is partly explained by climate and partly by culture. We are more into tea and coffee. Seattle has a Maritime climate and the Bay Area and San Jose have a Mediterranean climate. The West Coast has more cultural influences from all across Asia as well as Eastern Africa whereas the Midwest is mostly influenced by Northern and Central Europe. That is why wrestling and powerlifting are popular in the Midwest but Muay Thai, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do, weightlifting and soccer are popular on the West Coast. The West Coast also likes healthy food.
My dad was born in Chicago where my great grandparents moved to after they left Azerbaijan , Northern Iraq and Northwestern Iran in the 1890’s . I prefer the West Coast like Seattle, Oakland and San Francisco over Chicago . I would like to visit Chicago and visit family and maybe train with Belal Muhammad someday.
Thanks for sharing your story! The west coast is nice as well.
You had me til you started whining about race and "being the only black person" blah blah. my god. Always making everything about skin color when it shouldn't even matter.
No its not all about race of course but there are differences (which can be a beautiful thing) and it maybe helpful to others to point it out. Can't deny Chicago neighborhoods have prominent cultures in each. If this info isn't for you its not for you.
where did you find these apartments? zillow rentals? craigslist? trying to get an idea of where to look for apartments
Zillow and Facebook market place are my favorite recommendations. If your even looking for some help, their are free realtors on those sites that will sometimes reach out to you to show you more options as well.
The insta handle thing is most likely just a way to communicate cause a lot of of like to chat in IG dm and for the girl they give out there IG as opposed to there numbers idk abt older guys but IG dm is deff the preferred coms method for us college kids
Interesting I've seen Snapchat work like that too or even Whatsapp
You are so beautiful ❤️❤️
Aww, thank you so much! 💖
Just empty prattle, not sure about what or anything specific?
Thank you :)
You must be spending most of your time on the Northside near The Lake. That is not representative of all of Chicago.
True, its hard to represent an entire city of millions but thats the beauty of range of culture here. Happy holidays☺!
I was born and raised in Rogers Park Miss the north side❤❤❤
Its such a unique neighborhood of the city. Happy holidays!
@chismprism same to you and your family ❤️
Thanks for this video, it’s making me sm more confident about my moving there omggg
I'm so glad this video helped! You're gonna love the city!
THE GANGS, DRUGS & CRIME IT MAY BE OK
Thinking of moving to Chicago, I’m from the Los Ángeles & inland empire area & want a change. I’ve always wanted to live in Chicago. I would visits my adopted dads family side out there as a kid & loved it. Hope to move by next summer with some money in my pocket & a job lined up. Thinking of thuggin it out in my car until I get a place we’ll see!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Chicago is amazing! This channel is to basically encourage people to live here at this point lol. But I wouldn't recommend "thuggin it out in your car" 😂 that may lead to some scary stuff. There are ways to make it work. Maybe look for a roomie, live in some of the outer neighborhoods. It's what I did first moving here (didn't even have a job lined up yet). Anything but live in a car!
You should make a video showing us some LQBTQ friendly places. We’re planning on moving there in march and want some ideas!!
That's a great idea! Chicago has a vibrant LGBTQ+ community. It so much more to highlight closer to Pride month. When it's warmer I can definitely do this
Re: Interracial dating in Chicago. I’ve had several experiences of being followed, circled or heckled by homeless men while being out as an interracial couple. Don’t let that stop you but maybe keep that pepper spray handy.
Not the homeless people lol😂 That happens to me when I'm alone in public. Pepper spray is handy for sure
i just moved back to chicago and trying dating apps for the first time. i'm not used to it at all, but this video popped up on my feed and all your tips are so helpful! thank you :)
Welcome back to Chicago! Dating apps can be overwhelming but you got this! Good for you for putting yourself out there. Good luck!
Gorgina ❤🎉
aw thanks love!
Love your videos. Glad you’re back. Have fun, you look great.
Thanks! I appreciate you💖
Girl I may have to reach out to you to help me locate an apartment 😂. Im from md and moving to Chicago next year. Would you be able to help? Like if I give you what I'm looking for and price? Ive only visited once so not too sure what I should look for
Hi! I'm flattered you would put so much trust in me but I couldn't take that on. Maybe one day I'll get my real-estate license. There are a lot of free agents out here that will gladly be able to help you! I wish you the best of luck!
I’m from a major city in the West Coast, so I’ve never had that suburban, small town experience. So it’s just interesting to hear different perspectives. Suburbs out here tend to still be big towns.
Yeah, different areas do have different sub experiences but totally normal for communities to build into little (then eventually large) towns themselves. People just naturally gather together. Love the West Coast!💖
You're right!! They are commerical cults. Steven Hassan's research in comparing the B.IT.E.(Behavior, Information, Thought, Emotional) control is how cults brainwash people and MLMs use the exact same tactics. Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm sure this video will help other people!
Youre right! Thanks for sharing the BITE research. Our minds are so fascinating
🖤
Lucky you, you are gifted.
Thx just trying my best. Best of luck to you!☺
Thanks for the igloo on a rooftop idea. Could you cover airbnb vs hotel for a traveler on a budget, parking is crazy expensive downtown, but also don't want to have my homebase in the burbs. Thanks! Happy Holidays
@@ronjones2868 that would be an interesting video idea actually because I don’t even know how the Airbnbs work in the city. I’ll have to sit on this one. Thanks for bringing this up!
@chismprism You're welcome! Looking forward to hearing your thesis
You would make a great Apartment Locator! You are a natural at pointing out the plus & minuses of each unit/building/area. You only need to take a short course and pass a the exam (can be done over the weekend I think). Anyway nice job giving us a tour!
That's a great idea! I do love real estate maybe I will look into it actually🤔
Those fake plants look pretty realistic! Do you have the links to them?
Sure thing! I just added the link in the video description☺
@@chismprism Thank you!
You get a lot more bang for your buck with apartment #2.
I was born in Chicago and have lived in Chicago for about half my life. The people in Chicago are friendly but not as friendly as the people in Texas. Chicago is too crowded. Never heard of the Chicago Handshake. Probably because I do not drink alcohol and do not frequent bars. I do not like the snow and cold weather. The air pollution, water pollution, and light pollution is more than I can take. There is too much trash on the streets and sidewalks. There are too many people begging and sleeping on the streets. The cost of living and taxes are too high. Chicago has a poor housing market. Chicago is not business friendly. There are too many potholes in the streets. Too much salt is used on the roads. Too many aggressive drivers. Vehicle parking is too expensive and too difficult to find. Too much gun control and too much crime.
These are the benefits about the city. Especially transportation. Gorgeous hair and hair color.
Thanks! Right on
