She seemed to have a good time playing this piece, according to her smiling throughout. A very vibrant and jolly rhythmic composition. I enjoyed listening. Played on a Yamaha instead of a Steinway, nice touch.

Sadly this is played far too fast. Rattling off Scarlatti as fast as possible is the scourge of many pianists today. There is no musicality or expression - I guess that this is the modern belief. And a triumphant gesture at the end which seems to mean “look how fast I can push all the notes and all the correct ones too!” They believe that faster is better. Listen to Horowitz

Although she will probably deny my summation, it is as true as the first time I proferred it: She has done a superb job of taming this improbable instrument…far better than almost any other player i have heard.
