Metro Loma - City of Glendale Housing Authority
It all started with a blighted property and a vision, partnership, which then led to a proposed project, construction, the Metro Loma Project, and finally a new community for 44 families. In December 2008 the Metro Loma apartments opened its doors to 44 very grateful families. This 44-unit, low-income family rental project is where you will see children, parents and grandparents sharing their lives, not just as neighbors, but also as a community.

Orange Redevelopment Agency, Santa Fe Depot Pedestrian Undercrossing
มุมมอง 4913 ปีที่แล้ว
The history of the City of Orange is inextricably linked with the development of the railroad. Over the years, this lifeblood of transportation and commerce was slowly eclipsed by the automobile. By the second half of the twentieth century, the Santa Fe Depot in Orange stood idle; a charming anachronism amid a county filled with endless tract homes and freeways.

Is it true that the El Rio villa neighborhood was built over a cemetary?😢
I miss Sunday late afternoons and seeing Huell Howser on PBS!
This is my town!! I'm so happy Huell was here. I moved here in 2005. I'm sad I was not at this event. I would love to have met. It would have been an honor. You are missed Huell!! Rest In Power!❤️🌹❤️
My town too.❤️
I started working in Old Town in 1993 until 2010 in the old Chamber of Commerce Bldg at the corner of Colorado and Arroyo Parkway. The revitalization of the area was fun to go through but the downside of that renaissance was that many of the businesses in the early 90s could not keep up with the sky high increase in rents that the revitalization brought. I don’t go back to Old Town these days but every time that I do it seems like a huge new office or condo complex has been built in the surrounding area of Old Town…it reminds me of exactly what I saw in Santa Monica in the 80s/90s when I lives there. Moral of the story: When an area that is in a prime location but was left to rot is being revitalized by the City powers that be…buy real estate there! PS that pawn shop bldg was built by the Greene & Greene Brothers…
There are still a lot of homeless in Santa Barbara.😔
240p ? 👎

My dear dad (RIP) was retired about 20 years ago and after this theater opened back up, he loved it so much that he got a job working in the front ticket office. He also would be their Santa every holiday - and different characters for the 4th of July parades, i.e. Carl from 'Up!' Seeing this video hits my heart. He was kind of like Alameda's honorary Santa for a bit. He passed in 2016.
Stillwater. Still employed in 2023. Fail park.
is this still open?
I love Santa Barabara 😊
2:35 how's that 10 year plan to end homelessness coming?

Huell has such an appreciation and enthusiasm for other people's creativity and achievement. Huell continues to inspire us in 2021.
Wow, the silo building apartments are So Unique and Artistic. Totally Cool!!!

Easier to get a seat, and great food.

I've never been in a better Waffle Shop !! Ole's is the best !
Yeah, had to mute it, guy's voice and fake enthusiasm is way over the top. Too bad...
They could have gotten somebody other than Colonel Sanders to do the commentating. Grew up and spent 26 years on the Island. Great place to live back in the day. The only thing that needs to be improved is overnight accommodations. Slim pickens!
Not Colonel Sanders more like Foghorn Leghorn.
Rick Faller, where have you been? You don't know Huell Howser? He was and will always been an ICONIC American Hero. I LOVE Huell Howser and I live in New York City. I have seen hundreds of Huell's shows. He is a true Californian Gold. California is so lucky to have a legendary figure like Huell Howser.
You're right. Got an Airbnb for later this month and there weren't many. Forget a hotel/motel - like you said: slim pickens! (Mom's was full for our get together)
Hey, without "Colonel Sanders" as you call him, there would be NO program. It was the great Huell Howser (Colonel Sanders to you) who wrote, produced and directed these shows, ALL of them. The California Gold T.V. series was a project of the heart for Huell (who was VERY well known to us Southern California residence) as he produced HUNDREDS of them shown on many PBS stations. The man was extremely intelligent and kind to everyone, and it's too bad that people like you try and put him down. Huell would most likely smile and ignore you, however I hope one day you learn to LISTEN instead of talk and criticize. Huell OWNED all of these shows himself, and when he passed away donated his entire collection to a local university. RIP Huell, there ARE some of us who miss you and your great voice.
yup clovis
very nice video and rich information about NAPA thank's for this report.
He visited some very interesting places. Too bad his approach was so corny it is almost unwatchable.
Gary Williams You whinny little bitch!!!
damn bro, you took time to write a scathing review of huell howser? your life must suck
@@whatstheplayofficial My life is fine. I live in Europe where if you sick, you dont have to sell your house to pay your medical bills. Huell Howser was a one trick pony. Once you have seen one show you have seen them all. "Look at this, look at that" constantly in every show. He was a flaming homosexual to boot and I do not consider that normal.
@@teenherofilms Gary, you are right about Huell being a one trick pony, but that opinion state's the obvious and completely misses the point of his entire program. He is not the subject, the subject is the title of the show. and I feel a quote by your fellow European and homosexual describes you perfectly "those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. this is a fault." -Oscar Wilde
@@whatstheplayofficial I never found the programme interesting. his cornpone accent and his consistent "Look at that" as though they weren´t looking at it seemed silly. I lived in California long enough to want to get out. California can be described in one word: OVERPRICED. I was in 2 movies in Hollywood and I had a radio show in Los Angeles. The cost of things is ridiculous. I do not know that Oscar Wilde was totally homosexual. He married and had 2 children. In the Leslie Flint recording made in 1966, Wilde states that everybody is to a degree bisexual. I am a great admirer of Flints work and of Wilde as well
I miss Huell. Wish I could go to Napa and find him there.
And here I sit, hands on my laptop, watching a video of a town I've thought about over the years. Does an old Army buddy from the 50s still live here? He cam to visit me once in Santa Barbara years ago in th3 50s. We missed each other, never to run into one another aain.
I wish you luck on your search sir, if it still continues.
