National Elevate Day: Schindler Hydraulic Elevator
This is a Schindler MPH with EPCO PEP fixtures. Door equipment is by Schindler, with an Adams interlock. Typical submersible hydraulic motor with a Wye-Delta starter. It runs well.
That being said, I have never seen the other car, so I do not know if it is the same.
This video is to recognize National Elevate Day.

These have had some modifications. They have new external position indicators, new door operators and interlocks, new hoist way doors, and possibly some controller modifications. Otis does maintenance for these elevators, so that explains the interlocks. I believe that the car doors are original. Adam’s Survivor Plus fixtures. They are holding up pretty fairly. They do good for parking garage e...

This hotel is located south of Akron, not too far from the airport. I did not stay here, however it appears to be a nice property.

This is in very good condition for its age. It also runs well, probably even better than the passenger sadly.

This is one of the freight elevators here at RPM. It is pretty nice and runs very well. Sorry about my finger in the camera. I don’t usually use wide angle.

This is a nice elevator located in Placid Hall at SVC. Interesting combination with the black buttons on the outside and Lexan on the inside.

Very nice elevator! Runs well, and seems to be maintained nicely too. The building is also really nice.
Schindler 321A Elevator At Boscov’s, Clearview Mall, Butler, Pennsylvania
มุมมอง 3892 ปีที่แล้ว
This is an older, Schindler hydraulic elevator that is in decent condition. It runs relatively well, despite some leveling issues it has. This elevator formerly did have the low pitched chimes, but was upgraded in the late 2000s to the regular chimes.
Westinghouse (High Rise) Traction Elevators At The Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
มุมมอง 4262 ปีที่แล้ว
These are some more elevators in this building, which are located right down the hall from the other bank. These go up to the upper floors which from floor 5 and up are hotel rooms. These are very identical to the other bank, and run and act the same. For the most part they are pretty smooth; just a little bouncy when accelerating and decelerating, but they are still so classy and elegant. Over...

Very nice vintage elevators! These were modernized a couple of times, but the current mod is from the 90s. These run very well, and they have an over all nice, elegant feel to them. Along with that, the building is absolutely gorgeous as well! The high rise elevators will be uploaded soon!
TINY Dover Cimarron Elevator At One Landmark North, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
มุมมอง 2332 ปีที่แล้ว
Smallest Dover impulse I’ve ever seen! Not 100% sure if this is a CIM, but it’s most definitely a holeless hydraulic because of the deep inner door frames inside of the car. This elevator is most likely from the 80s, around the same time as the other building in this complex was built. And another strange thing is that there are no lanterns, nor chimes. However, even with this being an odd Dove...

This is the only operating elevator in this store, as the other one was sadly decommissioned, after the store downsized to one floor. This car is still in operation however, as it still goes up to a small portion of the store that is still being used as the portrait studio. Anyways, this is a nice, basic, Montgomery elevator from 1986, and it runs very well still. Like the rest of the mall, it ...

You don’t see MT VR fixtures every day
@@DnD_Robb404 Yeah. Most of the time I see it is in parking garages or the like.
most garages with 300a cabs I’ve seen used standard MT or RT fixtures for some reason. MT VR fixtures should be more common than they are.
Nice elevator, would have rather it was kept original though
I agree. Would have liked to see the impulse fixtures. I think they may have been on the original controllers though.
I am guessing it is a Series 1 mod
Old but gold
This thing has seen better days... At least it's mechanically operating just fine.
Yeah. There are 3 other mall freighters here and they are all in the same kind of condition. The inner gate was replaced at one point, but that’s about it as far as upkeep goes.
Sweet find!
Hey, long time no see! Hope you're doing well. Happy independence day!
Hey how have you been? Hope you’re doing good too! Haven’t talked to you for quite some time.
@@elevatorfan7568Yeah ik it's been a while. I'm doing okay.
Second unit is a GP40.
I’ve ridden this before. My younger brother had his birthday here haha
Oh nice. It’s a really cool building.
nice
This elevator is a Otis HydroAccel Series M2.
How did that Traditional button get there?! Did Marshall maintain these at 1 time?
I have no idea tbh. It’s possible that they did maintain them at some point and just replaced that hall station with traditional. Still very odd though.
Wait there’s more than 5 floors here 😂 and a hotel 😂
Yeah this place was way bigger than I expected it to be lol. The hotel starts on floor 5, and goes the rest of the way up.
I rode these along time ago. A coworker of mine use to work here and he told me they still have a hand operated elevator somewhere.
Oh wow that’s awesome! These are pretty cool, and very classy.
Since it's hole-less, it is a CIM.
Yeah I just didn’t know exactly what model in the CIM series it was. Ik there is a CIM 25, and a CIM 20, but this one has that odd capacity of 1,500 pounds.
Actually then it might not be, I'm not entirely sure.
I love the cab design on these elevators! They look like something from the 60s or 70s!
Yeah they are very beautiful! They were originally installed in 1881 as Westinghouse that were manually controlled, and then modernized in the 1950s, and then modded again in the 1990s, which is their current state. The building is super historic as well!
This thing is tiny alright.
Yeah with a capacity of only 1,500 pounds!
Wow..
I forgot how good the bass is on this one!!
Yeah I need to film some more of this piano sometime!
Missing logos.
Yeah probably said Marshall and/or Dover at some point.
Sears & Kmart aren’t going to be around for much longer. Sears needs to open a museum showcasing their whole history in its home state of IL, such as in one of their old department store buildings.
Yeah it’s such a shame to see them slowly fall apart, and each store close up for good. And that would be cool, a museum showcasing all of their history.
No Vectors at this mall.
Nope. Sadly no vectors.
The Macy’s has Westinghouse, just like the former Sears at this mall.
Is this mall becoming a dead mall? The Nordstrom anchor store and Nordstrom wing in there are much newer, so those have to stay. Is Macy’s also closing at this mall?
No. No more stores are closing at this mall as far as I know. Macy’s is still still doing very well at this mall, and so is Nordstrom. And this mall is actually thriving and doing very good. There are always people here, and it’s definitely one of the most popular, if not the most popular mall in the Pittsburgh area.
That mall needs some entertainment options, such as Dave & Buster’s, Round1 or Main Event. Any of those can go in the former department stores there.
D&B is already at The Block Northway, which is a near-by mall. I don't think any of the other 1s will come either due to D&B competition.
They might demolish the old Sears building and put a movie theater and/or an outdoor promenade in its place.
They are planning on demolishing it & adding more mall space there, which includes the relocation of the food court, adding more stores, & a theater, which would be on an added 3rd floor. However these plans came in 2018 & there's been no news about it since 2019. Right now Sears is just gutted.
Dual lanterns in an A Series? Interesting. Get all those elevator parts while you can while this store closes.
Yeah if this store closes eventually, it’d be nice if the parts went to someone, and don’t end up in the garbage.
Such as Andrew (DieselDucy), he needs to travel to PA. He had an elevator museum called the elevaTOURS international elevator museum in a storage facility in Roanoke, VA. You need to visit there sometime.
@@mariokart8715 Yes I should visit there sometime.
And Andrew needs to retrieve those elevator parts from that JCPenney
@@mariokart8715 Dual lanterns is common for center-opening versions. I don't think this is going anywhere, & even if it is the parts probably won't be saved.
This store will end up closing soon.
Depends how JCPenney continues to perform, and if they can stay afloat with all the other retailers, but by the looks of it, they probably won’t be around much longer sadly.
A Series
Hmm, I didn’t know about this one. Did you just walk in here?
Yeah this one was installed pretty recently. And yes, you can pretty much just walk in, but this was shot on a weekend when the church was open. I’m not exactly sure of what days and times the church is open to the public, but it’s definitely open on the weekend at certain times because of services and masses going on.
The actual campus has some Otis & Haughton gated elevators.
Oh nice, I saw some videos on your channel. Sadly I didn’t have any time to film anything else on campus cause I was here for an event, and even though I did not get a video of them, I did see the Dovers that are in the parking garage right across from here with those VR lanterns.
What is Oildraulic? Never heard of that term before.
Oildraulic was Dover’s (then carried over by ThyssenKrupp) hydraulic elevator series of models. They came in many different specifications, but were all under the Oildraulic name. Oildraulic was finally ended by TKE in 2012, and replaced with the Endura model.
@@elevatorfan7568 Oh, interesting. Thanks for the info!
@@elevators_of_southern_ontario Oh no problem!
Nice basic TK elevator.
1:50 Otis Luxury chime
What happened to your old voice
They're holding-up to standard 400A quality for this age. Brakes are starting to get a bit loud & the buttons & speakers are a bit worn, but other than that they're decent. Also when were you here?
Yeah I agree, they’re definitely worn, but still run well. And I was here on the same day I uploaded this. Came to Bakery Square after attending an event at CMU, so I decided to film these.
Nice!
Thanks!
Did you ride the scenic 5500s in the new garage?
I didn’t sadly. I only rode the ones in the east garage, but hopefully next time I come back I’ll be able to film them! They look very nice, from what I saw in your video.
This is absolutely a mod I remember these when I was little in the late 90s early 2000s I used to stay at a different condo called will o the wisp
After reviewing the video again, I did confirm that this is a Delaware elevator. If you pause the video at 0:36, you can see the label right below the emergency light.
I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t ridden this 😂
Yeah after I looked this up, I really see how many people filmed this! You’re not really missing much though Lol
That door is so stubborn it's definitely refusing to close
Yeah. Somethings wrong with it either on the door or on the controller.
Oof. That door just doesn't want to close!
Yeah it was extremely frustrating lol. Something obviously has to be fixed with the controller.
Nice elevator!
Yeah it definitely is! Cab is nice, and it runs very well!
This might be an ETI elevator. A lot of their elevators use the GAL Jet plus fixtures and have mechanical bell chimes.
Yeah possibly. If that company is local to Maryland or other nearby states, then that could be the case.
They're based in Prince George's County. They're very present in MD, WV, & VA. Although normally they label their elevators.
These were installed in 2001 very nice elevators. They use a dual clutch and interlock system on the doors so it uses two sets of pickup rollers on the landing doors. As you can see there are two locks on the top. Still not sure if it’s overhead or bottom drive, but this is the vandal resistant version of MT.
Yeah I agree, I’ve always thought that these have ran nicely.
That’s the same thing as topgolf
This must be a first generation Otis Series 1 (late 1980s)
Yeah it’s an early model 211.
Rode this a few years ago. Very nice elevator!
Nice elevators there must be 12 or more elevators in this building. AC gear-less traction?
Yes I believe they are gear-less.
Man it's be so cool if you recorded this with a good mic positioned at the back of the piano!
Nice elevator, but that creeking sound is really irritating!
Yeah I agree.
1:35: My favorite part in this roll! That is a really badass melody!
QRS 3143 pb. James Price Johnson
I like that you have the original old roll that sounds better than the JLC roll
