Hello! My name is Fatih but everybody calls me Fab. I've been painting with watercolors for 11 and working as an independent artist for 6 years. Before that, I was a copywriter in advertising. And before that I was an au-pair. =)

I'm on holiday in Turkey/Marmaris and I'm documenting some of my memories in No Effort Sketch Journaling style. ☺️👍
In this part (Part 8), I'm talking about Marmaris. In this video you can see Marmaris marina, the sea side and the tiny streets surrounding the historic castle. And I fell in love with one of the buildings there. 😍😍
However, there was not enough time to draw it while we were on holiday. So I did the next best thing. Drew on the plane and finished painting with watercolors at home. ✌️😁✈️

Thank you for sharing your holiday with us, and well done for maintaining the sketching/filming! I sketch while on holiday, but I don't have to film it as well! (I'm a fan of continuous line too. I have a tiny sketchbook also, but I seem to need at least A6 for continuous line. You do well to manage the technique in such a confined space). 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it. About the continuous contour, once you let go off perfectionism, it gets easier. ☺️

What tip nib size you use and thickness of paper in sketchbook
This is 05 so on the thick side. And this paper is more than 200g. I can't say for sure because it was a present and it doesn't say anywhere over it but the paper doesn't buckle with a bit of water...

I so enjoy your small, easy sketches and will try this style tomorrow. And our breakfast in the USA look similar, eggs, hunk of bread or bagel with jam, meat like bacon or ham, fruit like berries instead of the veggies and a cup of coffee with cream.
Aha, diner style breakfast, right? That's true. I am always thinking cereal and sugary stuff for breakfast. I guess this can be "Seinfeld effect" in my case. 😄

So many wounderful memories I was many years ago in Marmaris, traveling in a small sailboat with my father. I love the idea of the small sketchbook, it open my mind to new ideas on how to put memories of a trip. Thanks
