FIRST BOW OF THE CAST OF ALW’S CINDERELLA - 25th June 2021
I stopped listening and following ALW after hearing about this. Once an asshole, always an asshole.
It was destined to be a flop from the day they announced it... it was so evident. why would you even bother signing on for it? Before people come for me, I've been in the industry long enough to know what I'm talking about. I've signed onto productions, realised they weren't going to be good, and and left the production to join more successful ones.
The costly mistake was not the crew, the cast or any of the people involved. It was the timing, because covid destroyed income for a lot of businesses, including theaters.. That was it. It had nothing to do with any of these people.I woudn't feel personally attacked by this. It was a hard time for everybody.
I never got to see this production, because I couldn’t afford a flight to London.
Amazing!
And back yet again. An AWESOME cast for sure! Wish I could have seen it live but I am across the Pond. BRAVO AND KUDOS!
I discovered the musical "by accident", in July '23 when I was in London for Bruce Springsteen's two concerts. I know London very well, so I was looking for something to do in the afternoon before the show in Hyde Park. I was thunderstruck, literally. I sang, danced, cried, and laughed like I haven't in years. and I'm almost 60 years old, 40 of which I spent traveling the world to see Bruce. I've seen the musicaln at least once a month since then. I live in Milan, get my ticket as soon as I have some time, leave by fly at 10 a.m. and arrive at 12 noon in London, headed to the Piccadilly Theatre for the 2:30 p.m. show and then at 8 p.m. fly back home. and or I will as long as it's on in London. see it, experience it, love it. it's just amazing!!! All the best, Alessandro
I don't know why it's insufficient if men wear trousers, not skirts, and that a man is dressed as a moulin woman, I don't know the show, but I noticed it at once. good art and singing will defend itself
17-ого декабря 2023 года посмотрели это шоу Кёльне, полный восторг!
The show was terrible but I love the cast. They worked with what they had and the fact that ALW didn’t show his face speaks VOLUMES
I watched it in the theatre in victoria, LOVED it :)
I found by pure chance a ticket last July, before I went to see Springsteen in hyde park. a surprise, the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and between NY and London I have seen everything in the last 20 years! now next weekend I go back to London for 2 shows in a row, friday and saturday night. best money I ever spent in my life. have you never seen it? my brothers, you have not lived so far.
Miss watching Wicked!
Emozione unica. Ho pianto x la commozione
In NYC February 2024 for the Mrs 40th birthday are 5 year old daughter be with us and loves anything dance. Is the suitable for my daughter? I know my Mrs would love this show
definitely NOT for kids😭
Sadly not a very family friendly show! I'd recommend Aladdin on Broadway - absolutely phenomenal dancing, she would love it
Not kid friendly but Aladdin is 100 times better than Moulin Rouge
the creative director immediately jumping to defend andrew... he knew that letter was gonna be received poorly lmao
I haven’t seen the musical, but i hope there weren’t any kid/young actors in the cast. Imagine having your boss shit on you (via letter because he didn’t have the balls to show up) in front of a theater of people that you don’t know. Thats devastating for an adult. I can’t imagine it for a kid
idk the ages of all the actors but some of the intended new cast were gonna make their west end debut on cinderella (john whaite, daisy blanche treille (?), etc) so it just feels like a slap in the face
@@iwakeupandboomimarat oh i even didn’t think about actors who were debuting, thats terrible.
@@samael9589 yeah i think some of them were saying that they had legit rejected other roles/jobs bc they expected to be in an alw production and then all at once they lost their jobs with basically no backup plan. its honestly horrible especially considering it was meant to be their west end debut and some of them were very young
@@iwakeupandboomimarat god that’s terrible, i hope they get jobs soon
Coming up to a year on. I would’ve seen this if it hadn’t closed prematurely. Gotta say the curtain call music is a total BANGER!
Still to this day Lauren Byrne's reaction to "costly mistake" makes me so happy.
I have been to see this
I'm just glad that the audience had the cast's back at this bullshit letter.
I would have ripped the letter immediately after reading it
Laurens reaction to him saying it may of been a costly mistake, I'm surprised she didnt say anything else. Wonder how long it'll be before bad cinderella on broadway has its final performance and it's a "costly mistake"
As it turns out not very long! It's closing next month!
Did you enjoy 😊 it if u did tell me because I really enjoyed it 😊
I have been back to watch this numerous times in the last year...but didn't comment. But now that I see it's been a whole year....IT JUST SEEMS BETTER AND BETTER EACH TIME!
Just saw this last week on tour in Dallas! Spectacular show!!
So did I! My mother and I saw the April 1st matinee. 😄 She and I have seen literally dozens of traveling Broadway shows in my life ever since she first introduced me to Phantom of the Opera 30 years ago when I was 8-9 years old, and this was easily the most LAVISH we've ever seen. We went in completely blind just being HUGE fans of the movie, and when we first walked into the theater I literally said "Oh my GOD 😮" at seeing just the stage. It may sound a little weird but the curtain call/finale was my favorite part just because it was such a freaking PARTY and did an excellent job of lifting the mood after the tragedy. I couldn't believe they even did the ceiling drop of confetti in a traveling show!
Me too I saw it March 31
This honestly made me lose SO MUCH respect for Andrew. It’s absolutely disgusting and this incredible cast and crew deserved better. Without them, there wouldn’t have been such a fabulous show. I hope and pray every single one of these incredible people involved go on to do amazing work with a boss who respects them.
The show was poorly written but the cast made it work!! They were wonderful, talented and will hopefully go further with their musical theatre careers and they did NOT deserve how they were treated by Andrew 😒😒
poor fool he make me laugh ha ha ha ha ha
PS: Idiot.
Superb show! Bravo to all!
You know they are all probably huge fans of him and were so excited to be in his production. How sad.
Did you get any other videos of them?
It’s so great! Now in nyc. Go see it. Just joyful!
Imagine thinking he had control over a global pandemic. 🙄
Outstanding
That letter is horrible. The cast deserved better.
And the entire London cast are so proud that Andrew lloyd webber has called this production a mistake. Fired by social media! And now they all are so emotional and very proud he is opening on Broadway next year! Oh no sorry that is all in lloyd webbers sad sorry little mind! What a nasty turd that man is!! Bravo to this cast for going on till the end xx
BREAKING NEWS: The show is heading for Broadway. Imperial Theatre in 2023 and renamed BAD CINDERELLA.
Have they changed the lighting?
The whole show had a revamp. MickeyJoTheatre youtube channel to hear some of the changes from the show.
I went to this one and the AMOUNT OF POWER EACH QUEEN HAD WAS SOOOOO GOOOD
Honestly I went and I was so good!!!
You can hear them smiling, I love it!

i simp for them all 🤭

Ddds remember
Terrible letter. But it should be noted that he said opening the musical earlier (with all the Covid restrictions) was a costly mistake, not that the musical itself was a costly mistake
It was a costly mistake because how woke this show was, not because of the actors. ALW should blame the woke producer.
A “costly mistake”. Wow.
