There was an episode in 1997 where a contestant (blonde woman named Jenny) had a winning score of $4000 flat, yet she was only allowed to pick 3 consonants
James. The years I watched the John Burgess Era of Wheel Of Fortune as a kid. I have NEVER seen this tie finish on Round 3. :) Thanks for sharing the videos of your appearance on the show.
Did you say you had no idea for last puzzle as a hail mary hoping the other two didn't get a letter next turn? I saw you checking the scores before that turn.
I wonder when Ford took over Holden as the car up for grabs on the show as there are some more 1991 shows from earlier in the year on here when Holden was still the sponsor of the car. I'm just playing a hunch and guessing it was around mid-year, as it was WoF's 10th anniversary since it's debut episode in July of 1991 (that probably also would've been when the buzzer sound had been changed - this sound lasted through until to March 1994 when it was changed and by August 1994, it had been "shortened" to the more "familiar" buzzer sound that lasted the rest of the show's run)
Yeah, that episode is floating around on TH-cam as well! :) It's pretty awesome to be on a famous game show in Australia, but for international audiences to see a little bit of your moment of glory is icing on the cake! :) It's a shame that the budget on Wheel of Fortune Australia in 1991 was pitiful, compared to the cash and prizes you could win in the States.
Burgo & Adriana appeared as special guests on our version of "Wheel of Fortune" here in the USA and clips of THIS VERY episode was shown during their appearance !
Wow! What an episode that was with Burgo almost losing the plot Bradley Walsh-style at the start (LOL) the tie-breaker finish (I've only ever seen this happen twice, in 2002 and 2006 on the show's second last episode) an unusual puzzle category (Australiana), and having a male CoC in the centre position playing against two women either side seems a bit odd. That spa bath looks awesome too, did you get it installed?
I hope that there are many more episodes of this show coming, loved this show
Adriana a beautiful legend ❤️
I could've solved that first puzzle without buying values!
James hsould have spun for the cs
good to see Toowoomba got some coverage.
I just found out this was aired in 1991
I got the Actor long before the rest and the Final Phrase straight away! I should have been on this show, but I was only 10.
Gezz,he was soo lucky he got it in just before the buzzer finshed.🤔
Just wondering what year this was from? Love the old Wheel Of Fortune episodes with Burgo and Adriana. Great days of TV gameshows in Oz. :)
1991…was so much fun!
@@jameskelly5737 Thanks. I always loved this era of Wheel the most. You did well lasting four nights. Congrats.
James is very handsome here. ;-)
He was the most boring contestant ever

11:32 - 11:42 this moment was actually shown on the US version when Burgo and Adri when they made a guest appearance on it!
I wonder if Burgo & Adriana showed a clip of their appearance on the USA "Wheel" on their version 🤔
@@jimmyboyzable they did.
