Could you please make Stray Pointers playlists that YT Music can see? It can only see one playlist (Jazzy) and I don't have TH-cam Premium to download this "video" for the car.
Hi, Daud. I don't think that I am able to do that. The individual episodes can be downloaded as MP3's from the LibSyn site though. Please see the links at straypointers dot com.
Awesome interview with the man who inspired a generation of aspiring computer science students thanks to what is probably the clearest and most accessible introduction to assembly language ever written for DIYers, lay{wo,}men, and non-specialists! Regarding Rust, Rust is a fantastic language and perennially one of the most loved programming languages according to Stack Overflow’s annual developer survey, but for those who cut their teeth on Pascal in introductory programming classes in high school or freshman year in college (whether, depending on the decade, UCSD/Apple Pascal if you grew up in the ’80s, or Turbo Pascal in the ’90s, or Delphi/Oberon in the aughts) and grew up under the influence of Niklaus Wirth and his philosophy of programming as exemplified by _Algorithms + Data Structures = Programs,_ would highly recommend taking a serious look at Go, probably the most significant, most important, and most widely used programming language today that most closely embodies the pure elegance and spiritual essence of “core” Pascal. Also would suggest including video (both interviewer and interviewee) in future podcasts which IMHO would go a long way to increasing your views 👍
Jim is a gem of a guy, and I appreciated hearing more of his story.
Indeed. Thanks, Bo!
Cool enterview. Enjoyed learning about Jim's background in Commodore computers. Glad he is involved in the CoCo community. I've been checking out other reto systems, but have not gotten into the Commodores. If you do another one I'd like hear his take on FPGA's and projects that involve a FPGA.
Noted. Thanks, James!
Hey Rob. Weatherman here... Got me reminiscing about the 1980s BIG time listening to this!
Great to hear, but this isn't Rob's account. You can reach him via the links in the list above.
Bring this guy back! He is amazing! : )
Ha! Will do, James.
